Houston weather: Quiet Friday night in the 70s, Flood Watch in effect

FLOOD WATCH for most of the FOX26 area until Sunday afternoon. Look for another round or two of storms over the weekend that could create more flooding hazards. River flooding is still ongoing and will continue as rivers crest over the weekend as well. Get ready for a pattern change next week with high pressure building across the state. Warm and dry weather takes a grip with temperatures in the 90s and heat index values returning to the 100s.
