Great work. I've just rebuilt my cb750 and when I went for my first start I had my coils reversed. having flames pop out the carbs next to my temporary fuel tank was...interesting 😂
I'm looking at wiring up a mo.unit to my '79 CB650 and I'm wondering if you did anything special when wiring the CDI. Looking at the Revival Cycle they have a blog about needing to use a relay to get the ignition coil to work properly with CDI. Did you have to do anything like that?
Hey man! Do you find that you only have a few cranks with that small battery? Working on a similar 81 CB650 cafe. Working on the design for my battery box under my seat as well. Worried about that battery dying too quickly especially since it’s electric start only (no kickstart). It give you any issues/strand you anywhere? Beautiful bike btw!
I have a 71 cb750 and I am installing the same carbs you put on your 650 cafe racer. Question…Where does a person install the two fuel lines? It looks like I have 4 possible hookup points, I’ve hooked up the 1-2 and 3-4 but #1 carb has a plug on outside like yours and another plug between 2-3 carbs. Are these vents? I never got a stitch of literature.
There should only be 1 hookup point for the fuel on the main rail inbetween carbs 2 and 3. I'm not sure what the little ports are for on the side, may be for vacuum testing / balancing. If you have 2 fuel lines coming off your petcock, you may need to get a different petcock that has a single fuel line coming off or get a Y adapter to bring it into a single line.
Well on your 650 did you plug your Keihin roundslide extra carb ports? Looking at your video #1 carb has no plug, so if that was a vacuum test port it would run like, you know what. Thx
Dang glad you shared this I have 2 and 3 working 1 and 4 are stone cold
Thanks! Great series btw!
Nice job man! That bike is gonna be sweet

One of the best feelings while taking on a project like this is when you get the motor running lol
Absolutely!
Awesome! Nice work!
