Yes, even if you have slow internet it is well worth adding a 10G card to your PC and NAS in order to get the fastest of file transfers, it makes editing NAS stored video across the Lan completely viable.
That's my end goal, primarily editing & backup of my video files.
👀 meanwhile me watching this with a 10/100 Mbps switch. Good enough for now.
You have a pretty fancy switch if it can display videos!
I was on the "good enough for now" feeling until I wasn't anymore... Now there is no going back :-)
I've been looking at upgrading my network to 2.5/10G, since I've run into bottlenecks with my NAS, and I ruled out similar models to this because I needed 4 SFP ports (two for my NAS and 2 for connecting to my other switch). But looking at their other models, they may have something that will work for my needs.
I think with that need for 4 SFP ports you are looking at either a 24 port switch with 4 SFP ports or a switch with 8 ports but all SFP.
Multumesc. Chiar nu au pret rau.
Awh pumpkin 😂
