Very detailed explanation, thanks. Looks like the next logical step in survival/craft games- the ability to have NPC handle all the mundane tasks, kind of like a colony survival sim. The tribesman system kind of reminds me of Kenshi and Going Medieval
I been enjoying it tbh and i started a bonfire and a barbarian came over ,i was like what happens if i shoot you in the head and as expected he didn't like that much lol and procedeed to smash my house and then me with a big hammer ,it's a really fun game though lots i do like in it .
So im trying to recruit my first guy, what and how exactly do i bring the recognition up faster? I have no idea what liquid food is( per the guide quest)
So best way for liquid foods early game is to go to a village and smash pots and hope to get some soup or something (any food or beverage will do but the ones that do more food will be better). Or you can craft a cooking bench and make from there. But you need a fair bit of clay(brown stone by lakes and rivers) and eventually can level mask to help make it quicker. Put food and water on them when tamed so they don't die. And build a food table for them to grab extra from
I had a vagabond join me but I can’t seem to figure out how to “tame” an enemy. I believe I’ve unlocked the skills in the mask but I never see the “E” option that the tutorial quest mentions when I get their health low. Can it be any enemy (like from one of those little camps near the starting beach) or does it have to be a specific type? I think the guys at the camp don’t actually say “Barbarian” in their name but “outcast” or something like that?
@@illibetgaming Thanks for the reply! I must have killed the guys at that camp a dozen times with no luck but then I tried again today and saw the “E” tooltip come up so I recruited somebody. No idea how to tell if that somebody is any good or how to best utilise them but I guess having somebody is better than nobody hehe
Are you testing? In the Demo I cant get very far past the river with the land bridge *Rift Valley" Theres a invisible wall that states its coming with full release.
Carnt wait this friday, just note on the steam page they have said that the current build is better then the demo and made tutorial better, combat less janky, etc. I think im going to like better then conan, and it feels soulmask cares more about the community, hoping so.
fruits and nuts also should work for parrots. i found quinoa in a jug i smashed at the flint barracks and grew from there at my farm. Can also find at a barracks farm down south where you can harvest heaps

Get them down to about 10% HP and an E prompt will appear. That does an animation where you grab them and give them a mask stare down. That knocks them out. Put liquid food in their inventory like broth. You’ll have to hold down the E key to do that. As far as I have experienced you just have to manually feed them one or two. The tricky part is not killing them. What I do is switch to fists once their HP is low.

I’m actually trying to recruit at the camp you had your mouse cursor over at 27:08 - should that work?
You should be able to tame most with E if the mask skill is unlocked. I will make a full video soon. Just haven't had much time lately sorry
