Blast from the Past kind of loses something if you've only watched the TV series. That whole thing with the merry-go-round is a remake of the very first Happy Tree Friends episode, Spin Fun Knowin' Ya, from all the way back in 1999, so the episode sort of functions as a stealth prequel to that one.
