(Just to be clear, I must say that this is just an opinion from voice acting nerd. And not meant to provoke) This is so weird xD I've seen this cartoon as a kid dubbed in Finnish. And to be honest, it has more emotion, and they really threw themselves fully in the characters. English dub is just missing that little something. This part is the best one to compare. 3:49 And here is Finnish version from the same part of the same episode, if you are interested x) ruclips.net/video/SgnEkQ3TBXg/видео.html And to be totally fair with these comparisons I always throw my nostalgia away when I compare dubs. Because voice acting is my number 1 interest personally. And I cannot compare 2 dubs fairly if I take nostalgia on the board. I must stay neutral and not favor one dub just because I saw it as a kid. But it's always interesting and fun to see cartoons from my childhood with a different language :D And this is not from the worst end, I assure that. For example, Basil the Great mouse detective is wayyyyyy worse dubbed in Finnish. My ears just bleeded after that horrible dub, even when I was a kid. And since then I have always watched that movie in English with Finnish subtitles. Vincent Price just nails the Ratigan role. It's just so gooood :D But have a nice day, and thank you for uploading this cartoon in english. And have an amazing day :)
It's apparent this dub was relatively low budget and had to work with a small cast. But atleast they didn't dumb down any of the original content like American dubs tended too.
@@minicle426 Americans usually fuck anime dubs too pretty badly. But Cromartie High school is actually the only one that I like more with Eng dub than in Japanese. But thankfully we got a very good dub here in Finland. It's not the nostalgia. I myself do dubs, so I try to keep my analyzing as professional as possible. And many thanks for the answer :D I appreciate it.
