2:51 You made a big mistake. The town of Sucre doesn't take its name from the french word for sugar. It was named in honor of Antonio José de Sucre, one of the heroes of the independence of Bolivia and also its second President.
Even though Sucre does mean sugar in french. The city of Sucre was named after el Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Antonio Jose de Sucre (Great Marshal of Ayacucho Antonio Jose de Sucre). A Venezuelan who fought throughout South America for independence from Spain and was the second President of Bolivia. Also Bolivia was named after Simon Bolivar (first president), another Venezuelan responsible for the independence of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and even Panama which was part of Colombia those days...
Hipelao, Panama became independent in 1903 long after bolivar died, you are right it was part of Colombia of which Venezuela was part of as well since after independence it was known as republica de la gran Colombia.

09:47 no Acre war . Brazil never had armed border conflicts with any of its 10 neighbours. All border conflicts were solved peacefully (diplomatically ) during 19 and early 20 century either by border treaty or arbitration. In the case with Bolivia ("Acre war") the Petrópolis treaty of 1903 finally ended the border conflict with Bolivia. Bolivia yielded part of its territory to Brazil in change for some money + railway construction between Madeira and Mamoré river ( the Percival Farquhar affair) allowing ocean acces to Bolivia (since the end of war of the Pacific ,in 1883, Bolivia lost acces to ocean) helping both Bolivia and Brazil flow off the rubber to the world (Henri ford 's need for tires).

Would have liked to hear about what you had to say about the eastern part of Bolivia more, given that Santa Cruz de la Sierra is now the fastest-growing industrial complex in Latin America according to Forbes (and a bunch of other stuff). Other than that, great video!
Great video. I really enjoyed it! However, I would say that Bolivia has three major geographic areas: to the west, (Andes) La Paz, to the center (Valley) Cochabamba and to the east (the Amazons) Santa Cruz. The population is named or "called" under these three predominant regions: So, people from La Paz are called Paceños, people from Cochabamba are called Collas and people from Santa Cruz are called Cambas.

Not mentioned fact: Bolivia with Paraguay are the only two countries in South America that are landlocked.
Tip for the next video: disable the comments section, cause if not there will be a comment war!!! :)
I am a bolivian white spanish descendant and have sooome indigenous descendants and EVERYONE in Bolivia had even 200 years ago at least 1 indigenous family member and yes just I know like 7 croatian families that are upper class (no bosnians, serbians, or any other balkan slav... lol)
Would have liked to hear about what you had to say about the eastern part of Bolivia more, given that Santa Cruz de la Sierra is now the fastest-growing industrial complex in Latin America according to Forbes (and a bunch of other stuff). Other than that, great video!
Bella Santa Cruz , it is an amazing city and metropolitan that makes Bolivia modern .
@@jackie-ir3htand the anillos increased in numbers? Last I was there were 8 beltway's (anillos)
Gotta say, this is the nicest video about Bolivia I've seen so far
This was great! you answered some questions about Bolivia that I was originally looking for...
I 💟 BOLIVIA
Im bolivian! And that was ACCURATE! I enjoyed the video!
I am from Rurrenabaque in Bolivia. I saw your video a couple years ago of your trip to Rurre and you passed by my grandmother’s house lol (I live in the US now)
I was blessed to live there as a child.

Lots of racey stuff going on in this section. Who cares what is his or what he looks like. He is here for Geography. Not Physical Anthropology
Yes he does lol and that’s why I watched this because he was very informative
YouKnow 😂
Would you do a paraguay article?
El Supremo might be a wonderful conversation topic.
¡Geografía ahora! Bolivia
I absolutely loved your video. First of many videos I've flipped through.... until I found yours. I subscribed. As for everyone else whom have negative comments... make your own video👍I was born and raised in Paraguay and live in the U.S. I'd love to travel throughout S.A. and experience the vibes. Please make more entertaining videos🤗
