Which it always is. It's either OpTic starting slow asf in hardpoint or throwing away rounds in SnD or control. They can play unbelievable all they want, but the best they can do is top 2-3.
Its funny because this is EXACTLY what it is. Faze, in my opinion, are not better. OpTic hands them opportunities and Faze capitlizes on them. If they clean up the mistakes and close, they can sweep anyone. We shall see

Faze is just more consistent and can generally out slay optic, so they are slightly better, but every team makes mistakes, so either team could win. They don’t have to ice up tho they are putting faze in situations where faze has to clutch optic is losing in winning moments because they give faze every way of making a clutch easy, it’s like the opposite of ice

That's basically all it comes down to when both sides have talented players. It's the small things that cost the game. It's always great to see high-level gameplay though.

There’s no room to improve skill, when always being up against people who can’t reach your level of skill.
Faze is a great team, highly talented players with great background. So is Optic.
At the end of every game the decision is made by just nuances, small reactions a little off positioning, a at that very moment wrong or slightly different route, shot, hit registration or what ever.
We should not forget, that everyone in the top teams is there for a reason and at the end sweating their asses off for our entertainment.
So there is nothing to talk sht about. No one out there talking BS could make it up there - otherwise he’d be up there.

It's easy to say the things that he is. However, he lives it. It's good to be an OpTic player because of the Green Wall, but they get a lot of haters because of it as well. Love Shotzzy's outlook on the whole thing.

Good to know at least that even when they make repetitive small mistakes, the games go down to the wire. Faze trio has been together for years, optic just recently teamed up this season. The mistakes will be fixed overtime. Optic will be the best team soon enough
That’s was hella cope tbh, faze trip has been together for years yes, but adding another player still calls for an adjustment period. You’re also acting like Dashy and ant haven’t been teammates for a while as well so it’s not like optic have no base.
I feel like I understand, if i do then you guys in the same boat as me. I dont play and compete in games to boast about be the best, its to prove to myself if push came to shove, I can hold my own, and furthermore, how well I can bring my teammates with me and how well we can work together; I compete to better myself, not to be better than someone else. Although you can very easily confuse the two. Like if i get shit on, I wont feel butt hurt or embarrassed, it drives me to become more versatile and ultimately just SMARTER and start looking at what im doing differently to continue to make process in not only one field of gaming but hopefully all fields. I know its damn near impossible, everyone does, but the difference between me and the people who compete for bragging rights is that even if I’m the best in the world, I wouldn’t think i did enough, I would look for another area to improve. Something bout that personal growth that really drive me.

This argument about how “any day anything can happen”, “cod is unpredictable”, etc, is valid to an extent. Yes, anything is possible. It is possible, albeit unlikely, that surge 3-0 faze this qualifier. So although one event (this last loss to faze, for example) doesn’t tell you everything, what is telling is a collection of events all with the same result. If you were to argue that faze and OpTic are currently evenly matched, that every game is a 50/50 coin flip, then the probability of a 0-6 record is less than 2%. Of course, this is more complicated than a coin flip. However, this argument of “anything can happen”, given the current record, sounds more like “eventually one will go our way”. That doesn’t give me confidence as an OpTic fan.
What JP said was true aswell, top 4 teams scrimming bottom teams is useless because the talent difference makes the scrims pointless, no real resistance. And the only REAL map reps any on the top 4 get is within matches and we know highrise anything was literally our auto veto. The progress has been insane, lets bag 1 major atleast this year.
I genuinely think Shotzzy is one of the best players in the world and has been for awhile… this guy is a monster shooter and extremely smart in game! My guy is so wholesome as well

people ranked in bronze think cruise missles are free 2 kills everytime, against a good team it will make them get off a hill/control point for 2-3 seconds and then back on like nothing happened on most maps

I feel like its just more frustrating that even in this series especially our boys finally had Faze's number. Legit accidentally trolled both high rise maps. But like Ant said people are going to just talk crap to irritate the other side. I think anyone who has a brain and was watching this series saw the Optic should have 3-0 Faze. But make too many mistakes against any of the top 4 teams and 85 percent of the time they will capitalize on it.

@@StormS2N I would agree but Abezy having a headache doesn't mean if he didn't the same events wouldn't have happened take for instance the LAN event where the first series was a similar playthrough where hardpoint we fell short due to rotations and starting slow. This series we legit were there but sold big difference between Major 2 and Major 3 Quals. Plus many teams are going to have games that fluctuate throughout matches they are human and we have seen teams rally. I think its more weird some of y'all are so quick to switch up on Optic despite the success they are having this. There is one last obstacle and that's Faze.

Shotzzy is way more intelligent than people give him credit for. The more I’ve watched him, the more respect I have. He might not know flags of countries or other trivial things, but you don’t really need to know those things today with technology at our fingertips. Great mindset for competing
"we play Faze to test how we are", but you guys have lost the last 6 or 7 games in a row... when you "had the chance" to win every one of them. Just lost composure at the end of almost every map. You guys are great and I will never hold a stick to your abilities, but as a fan asking: Why, every time you play Faze, do you bottle every series as of late? It gets so disappointing to hear "we could have easily won, but..." or we should have won 3-0 but..." a 4v2 advantage with defense and 2 strikes and still find a way to lose... so frustrating. I realize it's just a game (FOR ME) but that mindset should be "this is our job, our lively hood, our career". It's a game to us, but it's you it should be more important. Props to you guys for having the ability to take the loss and not get down, but why not show some emotion or frustration about it. It's a big loss. Then to have to listen to Draz call himself the CEO of Optic... Get mad! Get angry! Build some passion! Take it personally. At the very least, pretend you care to give the fans some hope. Ill explain why it was this close ofr the comment section - OpTic played a shit ton of highrise so they could increase map pool vs faze and still lost because they cant be consistent in all stages of the match. Abezy played with a migraine so was playing like ass as stated after the game vs OpTic on twitter. Also, shotzzy just went rogue with a 1.3 average vs faze. If all of these things didnt happen, it would have been more in fazes favor. No excuses, you should jave won the series since it was 3 vs 4. At some point you have to understand its not "luck" but just playing up to your opponent and keeping composure through the entire match.
Brain dead take tbh. Shotzzy does that online every stage. Optic lost to themselves yesterday and faze capitalized on their mistakes. Optic didn’t play Highrise, Shotzzy and dashy played challs and felt more comfortable on the map. That’s y Kenny and Pred looked lost the entire time. As the stage goes on they’ll get better. It’ll be another bangout on LAN. Where Pred and Kenny are better. The best team on that day will win.
