It started out by us talking about overcoming fear/anxiety involving life threatening events, situations or nightmares that are the scariest to us. I told my wife the most terrifying thing over death, monsters or even face to face with Satan himself would be my Lord saying "depart from Me, I never knew you." This to me is the most terrifying thing ever. I love my Lord and Savior and I know I'm a sinner . It is best to be corrected now, when there is still time, than to be judged by God. And that is the love of God, to save others, not to be deceived. No actually he's preaching the Law which is under the curse for cursed is everyone that keepeth not in every point the Law, that's why Jesus came and fulfilled the Law, we're justified by faith alone believing on Jesus Christ, he is our righteousness. Being led by the Holy Spirit is proof that you're a child of God(Romans 8:14), but if you're not being led by the Holy Spirit to be more like Christ Jesus, then you do not belong to God(Romans 8:9). That's why Jesus will tell the reprobates on judgment day, "I never knew you"(Matthew 7:23) because the goats of the flock, never knew God intimately. i miss the old me, the version of me who was more spiritual, who tried to live in holiness, who read his bible everyday, who didn't blame God for every bad thing, who was motivated to be a christian. But look at how i've fallen. i feel like i've drifted too far, and when i try to come back to God, the laziness, distactions, and unmotivation get to me and i've given up on my christian walk

A few days back I confessed my struggle with the sin of Pornography infront of my fellowship group, which my eldest in chruch is also part of. It was just such a relief, as I struggled with this sin for several years now, always doubting my salvation. Having people praying for you and also asking you difficult questions we tend to avoid is a blessing which every Christian needs, and you do a great Job doing that with your Videos! I can only pray that you reach many more people but also overcome your struggles, your book really helps me reminding myself that I am in a constant fight. May God bless you!

A true Christian is not defined by his works, but by whether he has trusted in the finished work of Christ alone for his salvation. You will never have assurance of salvation if you judge yourselves based on your works. Those who say "Lord, Lord..." have works, but they are not known, which means not saved, not children of God by faith. Sadly this man preaches works salvation, never giving the gospel of salvation to anyone clearly. Basically he is saying "if you spend most of your time reading the bible and praying, you're saved" and that's the greatest delusion from the devil. That's called religion. You can do all these things, but that doesn't mean you're a child of God. If you trust in your works, you trust in yourself, but salvation is only by trusting in the finished work of Christ. Most "Christians" don't do that, but they trust in themselves and their works. They think they're saved because they have a certain amount or quality of works and a certain standard of living. This is the broad way that leads to destruction. This is self-righteousness. It's working your way to heaven by yourself, by your own deeds. Attempting to be a co-saviour with Christ. But Jesus said on the cross "It is finished" since salvation is through his work alone and not through our works. As saved Christian can be worldly, can be carnal (1Co 3:1). That's why Paul says to believers (!) in Galatians 5:16 to walk in the Spirit. We don't automatically do that and we can often walk in the flesh, but that doesn't mean we're not saved. Our salvation and our walk are two seperate things. When Paul says "examine whether you're in the faith" he doesn't mean to look at how good your works are. If your works would prove whether you're saved, then how can you ever know it? What standard do you need to have? You can never have the "peace that passes all understanding" if you base your assurance of salvation on your works, but only if you know that it's by faith in Christ alone.

1 Peter 1:17 You pray to God and call him Father, but he will judge everyone the same way-by what they do. So while you are visiting here on earth, you should live with respect for God. I've been reading on this for a few days now. In my human mind and thought I tend to put human thought to God meaning "Oh he'll overlook that taking his name in vain" He calls me and everyone else to live in respect/ reverence to Him. It is that kind of thinking that will keep me from seeing God and how Holy He is. He calls us to be set apart not for Him to compromise what he is to us. Thank you for this reminder.

Thank you for making this video in particular. This has been heavily on my mind for most of my life. When I was about 12 or13, my dad had recently become very active in disciplining me. We talked (he guided) about everything and I was extremely open and honest with him, even about my most secret sins. One Sunday morning as church was starting, dad came into our row to take his seat and as he scooted past me, he whispered "Are you sorry?" (repentant). I immediately replied "Yes". What he asked next hit me so hard, it's made me question everything about myself every single day since. He replied with three words: "Are you sure?"

I'm in the U.S., a 68 year old husband and Father - who got saved in August 1975 when at 19 yrs old ,(just moments before wanting to take my Harley into a brick wall - I got led to Jesus by a fellow believer's witness, who, did not find out until 45 years later at our 45th class reunion),... anyway brother Joe,...your ministry is much appreaciated!!... Brother Joe, I turned back to the Lord! I was the 1 sheep he came to search for and left 99 behind. I am crying right now. I have made so many mistakes and sometimes it still hurts. No actually he's preaching the Law which is under the curse for cursed is everyone that keepeth not in every point the Law, that's why Jesus came and fulfilled the Law, we're justified by faith alone believing on Jesus Christ, he is our righteousness. A few days back I confessed my struggle with the sin of Pornography infront of my fellowship group, which my eldest in chruch is also part of.
It was just such a relief, as I struggled with this sin for several years now, always doubting my salvation.
Having people praying for you and also asking you difficult questions we tend to avoid is a blessing which every Christian needs, and you do a great Job doing that with your Videos!
I can only pray that you reach many more people but also overcome your struggles, your book really helps me reminding myself that I am in a constant fight.

Yes, “alone,” meaning without works. Once you add works, grace no more grace.

Joe, I watch your videos often and hearing your words has given me clarity with some aspects of my journey with God. You are genuine and down to earth. You are also very humble!! I respect your courage and integrity in regards to not monetizing your channel. People who watch your channel including myself need a channel like yours on RUclips that is trustworthy and biblical. You are following what the holy spirit inside of you is communicating so never question yourself or your motives!! God has given you a platform and a talent of communicating the good news in a down to earth and honest way. A true Christian is not defined by his works, but by whether he has trusted in the finished work of Christ alone for his salvation. You will never have assurance of salvation if you judge yourselves based on your works. Those who say "Lord, Lord..." have works, but they are not known, which means not saved, not children of God by faith. Sadly this man preaches works salvation, never giving the gospel of salvation to anyone clearly. Basically he is saying "if you spend most of your time reading the bible and praying, you're saved" and that's the greatest delusion from the devil. That's called religion. You can do all these things, but that doesn't mean you're a child of God. If you trust in your works, you trust in yourself, but salvation is only by trusting in the finished work of Christ. Most "Christians" don't do that, but they trust in themselves and their works. They think they're saved because they have a certain amount or quality of works and a certain standard of living. This is the broad way that leads to destruction. This is self-righteousness. It's working your way to heaven by yourself, by your own deeds. Attempting to be a co-saviour with Christ. But Jesus said on the cross "It is finished" since salvation is through his work alone and not through our works. As saved Christian can be worldly, can be carnal (1Co 3:1). That's why Paul says to believers (!) in Galatians 5:16 to walk in the Spirit. We don't automatically do that and we can often walk in the flesh, but that doesn't mean we're not saved. Our salvation and our walk are two seperate things. When Paul says "examine whether you're in the faith" he doesn't mean to look at how good your works are. If your works would prove whether you're saved, then how can you ever know it? What standard do you need to have? You can never have the "peace that passes all understanding" if you base your assurance of salvation on your works, but only if you know that it's by faith in Christ alone.

Joe, to me, you coming to RUclips has been one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. I have turned away from sin( even though sometimes I do sin but I've left most if them) and I'm trying to live more like Jesus everyday. I want to preach the good news like you but anxiety tries to stop me. And don't feel bad, I've been in that state too. But we always come back experienced,stronger and harder as children of God. 1 Peter 1:17 You pray to God and call him Father, but he will judge everyone the same way-by what they do. So while you are visiting here on earth, you should live with respect for God. I've been reading on this for a few days now. In my human mind and thought I tend to put human thought to God meaning "Oh he'll overlook that taking his name in vain" He calls me and everyone else to live in respect/ reverence to Him. It is that kind of thinking that will keep me from seeing God and how Holy He is. He calls us to be set apart not for Him to compromise what he is to us. Thank you for this reminder.

Thank you for making this video in particular. This has been heavily on my mind for most of my life.
When I was about 12 or13, my dad had recently become very active in disciplining me. We talked (he guided) about everything and I was extremely open and honest with him, even about my most secret sins. One Sunday morning as church was starting, dad came into our row to take his seat and as he scooted past me, he whispered "Are you sorry?" (repentant). I immediately replied "Yes". What he asked next hit me so hard, it's made me question everything about myself every single day since. He replied with three words:
"Are you sure?"

Brother Joe, I turned back to the Lord! I was the 1 sheep he came to search for and left 99 behind. I am crying right now. I have made so many mistakes and sometimes it still hurts. I am doing now everything I can to follow Him and do His will and not mine. God bless you lovely brother and all brothers and sisters.

I've had the realisation I'm guilty of just about every sin there is and that was as a (backslidden) believer! Have repented and am committing myself to living a holier life day by day.
Grateful for the videos that kept coming up randomly on youtube that pricked my conscience, mainly about the end times sometimes we need a wake up call and I think many are feeling the same way.

Thanks Joe. I had some things on my computer which shouldn't be there. I had watched a video on another channel which helped me move them to the trash, but I couldn't delete them. After watching this video I finally hit delete. Praise The Lord! All glory to The Most High! Blessed be The Name Of The Lord! I hope and pray that He gives me strength to stay away from such things. I don't want to be a slave to sin, but a slave to The Lord.
