My dad was part of the SDS and had some stories (and scars) from the Chicago situation. He died in 2013, before I became really interested in politics. I miss him terribly, and I wish everyday he was still around so I could hear more stories and ask all the things I didn't yet know to ask. Learning about it from programs like this helps heal my heart a little. Thank you.

2:58 : "A life of apathetic absurdity" -- what a perfect description of the life that we were expected to lead.

Hayden deceived himself throughout his life. He advocated for isolationism, but didn't want to accept that he was only aiding his childhood priest Charles Coughlin; the fall of Saigon sure didn't lead to Coughlin being defrocked and buried outside a good Catholic cemetary. He thought attacking Saudi Arabia meant he was targeting a Western puppet, when in reality, he was targeting a very Islam-oriented nation with not nearly the same extent of Western influence as Shah-run Iran.

I went to college with this guy. He was not respected among his peers and for good reason. He was more into making a name for himself then anything else. He craved the spotlight and ran to the cause with the most cameras. He was a joke on campus. He was also an arrogant ass at times and looked down on anyone who did not believe exactly like he did. He was not thought of as a quality person, or a sincere one.

I agree this Country has had some problems but these programs are distructive to this Country currently. There are better ways in promoting positive change. How about we start teaching young people the Truth about the original organic Constitution, Bill of Rights, Federalist Papers, and the Truth about our Founders. The problem is, we have a government that switch our Republic to a U.S. Corporation in 1871 and The People became assets of the Corporation basically. Edcuation over Occupy.

This man has no clue what America is about. He was in Hanoi with Hanoi Jane, his wife. They both should have been arrested and sent to prison for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. He is so popular I never heard of him until I moved to Port Huron, Michigan. Must be a force to be reconed with...NOT!!!!!
