As long as you have a carbon monoxide alarm and don't fall asleep with the heater on you should be good to go, it is rated for indoors but always be safe for sure
I have an SUV tent that attaches to the rear of my SUV. I use it for cooking, hanging out, etc. If I had a Buddy heater, I would use it to heat that space. I have a CO2 monitor, so I can always know the air is safe.
Question: I’m an ex-archaeologist who did this kind of stuff for a living, but in the jungle. After watching you and a couple others, I’m most curious about the pants. What brand/kind of pants are you all finding best? I’ve noticed winter camping here in the north that my normal cotton pants (basic jungle cargo or dungarees) doesn’t work with constant snow, mud, dampness. Recommendations?
An alternative I LOVE and can be easier for keeping warm is having a baby nalgene with warm to hot water and can fit in most jackets and in between your legs in the sleeping bag while you sleep! I never go anywhere without my baby nalgene
Zippo, like Zippo lighters, makes a hand warmers.. I went to the museum not long ago and remember seeing them in the shop.. I wondered if they might be better than the hand warmers? Cause you don’t have to worry about disposal.
@rondawitt8492 in a car, you're always shuffling around. And If somthing goes sideways and it catches fire, you going to find it hard to get out in time.
@@Dabal_R yeah like I said in about 2 weeks it's a simple 12-volt electric blanket and I've had one for 15 years. . Let's say your battery is 14 volt when you plugged it in. By morning 11.5 now you know that's just a guess you'd have to get one and play with it???
Have you ever seen a tank catch fire and explode? It happens inside a vehicle and ya your done. With windows cracked open your good for air and you will be fine. I think this all comes down to the person. If they always cut corners and looking for the short cuts in life. Ya they will not pay attention to the small things.
My friend burned her skin with those hand warmers so be careful .. they're literally like little charcoals pieces activated to heat. And keeps on for hours..
That heaters rated for indoors too
Was going to say…

I'm learning a LOT from you, thanks.

That called be smart about it. 🙏
I’m thinking about adding a hot stove set-up for the longer Winter stays. ❄️
Yes you can use a Buddy heater inside a small area. Lots of testing has been done. Crack a window if you're nervous.
Kovea is good too. Set it up too be safe, and ventilation.
Steel wool and vinegar together are a make shift hand warmer
❤ unbelievable🎉
Mr. Buddy heaters are safe to use indoors. I'd argue that no heater is safe to use in a car.
People die doing that
@@Paducah_Guy People die doing which?
@@jshepard152What if I crack a window? Haha
In larger vehicles, it can be safer because of the counter space. It's still not a good idea for indoor use.
I camped in a car with me.buddy heater all winter in car in Colorado. You just have to crack a window
The camp booties are so cute

I can't give you a brand, but in that climate you need to ditch the cotton and get a synthetic fiber.
@@jshepard152 thanks! Yeah, I’ve started to pick up on that in the last year. Rolling my eyes at some previous years’ misery.
Yes lol I’ve been told to use “athletic gear” eg gear that is designed for you to sweat but dries very easily too (and not cotton)
Safe for indoor use with minimal ventilation

I saw those recently! Will have to put them on the wish list
I’d also like to know the brand of her hiking pants, they look well reinforced for durability
Id also love to know!
They are fjallraven keb pants I believe
Wave 3 catalytic heater is SO much better.
Try to get the wave 3 on a 16oz propane cylinder tho? Good luck!
Man I been using my buddy heater inside a tiny shack😢😅
Me too
What's the difference between a tiny shack and a car🤷🏻♀️

What kind of pants are you wearing? I've noticed you wear them often
Looks like FJÄLLRÄVEN KEB
Hand warmers get so hot they almost burn me...last a long time too.
Something you might think about a 12 volt electric. Blanket.
But it will discharge the battery?
@@Dabal_R yeah about 2 weeks they only use about 80 watts.
@@Danny-ge2my I mean if you plug it in 12 volt socket in car will it drain the car's battery??

you never use a propane heater inside a vehicle for many of reasons
