The part after your snack stop at 2 minutes 10 seconds where you have that piece of food stuck in the corner of your mouth then start talking about getting dumped on, LMFAO. Too funny! Thanks for adding that bit of comedic value! Rated R bike ride.
A beautiful day to be out there. I enjoyed watching your vlog. I just got back from my short 3-night bike tour at Florida Panhandle. Thanks for sharing yours 🙂
@@SirBikesAlot Eventually I'd like to take my girlfriend along the CVT, I'd probably start at Kinsol too. Possibly just south of Shawnigan at Sooke Lake Road, but I wouldn't want her to suffer through the Sooke Hills Wilderness Trail. I enjoyed it but that's a slog even for someone experienced, which she isn't.
@@jamiewellbourn3609 The Sooke Hills trail is a bit of a grind. I've done it so much recently, that I figure we'd cut it out for this trip. Hope you and your girlfriend ride safe and have fun :)
I would love to do this right now but I'm trying to stay closer to home with how bad COVID is getting in BC. Lots of local rides around the Victoria area though!
I use ridewithgps if you want to find me on there (sir.bikes.alot). I have most of the rides on there that I do for these videos, however, I don't really update them after I do the rides, so I can't aways speak to the integrity of them. Sometimes, I have duplicate rides as well, but you're more than welcome to reach out to me to chat about them and I can give you more info! Cheers.
It should be on there if you want to take a look. This ride was the sooke hills trial to lake cowichan via the cowichan trail. Then we road south along the lake and took Gordon river road to port Renfrew and then back to cowichan lake on the pacific marine road. Hi! Looking for your advice. I'd love to do a trip like this, my my bike (2018 Specialized Diverge) can only fit 35mm tires. The first part of your trip looks like they would be fine, but could those tires handly some of the gnarlier logging roads near Port Renfrew? Or should I be investing in a different bike before heading out that way. Thanks!
Hey, it’s hard to say with Gordon river road. I remember it being mostly good, but I’m running 2.25 inch tires. I think the decent to Renfrew would give you a bit of trouble. Have you looked at this route? It’s about 40% of what we did on this trip and You should be fine with 35mm. bikepacking.com/routes/cowichan-valley-8/

Nice camera work and editing. Looks like a great trip with some varied terrain and scenery.
Thanks for the kind words Alan. I'll have the second party up in the next week or so. We head south into the mountains and it poured rain. Cheers!
Wow! Great video. Sounds like an amazing adventure.
Thanks for watching. It was a fun little trip and really nice to have a long weekend to get out.
Another great round on Vancouver Island!
Thanks for the ride. Best regards André
Many thanks! Thanks for tuning in :)
Thanks for the trip 👍I'm watching it while I'm putting my bike together.😀
Glad you liked it Jarrod! I should have part 2 edited for next week. What kind of bike are you building?

Thanks. Did you make a video for that trip? I'll check it out this weekend :) Always fun to see the places where other people bike.
@@SirBikesAlot Yes I did. Check it out from my channel, thanks 👍😊
It looks so calm and peaceful. Love it. JP

Subscribed. Just got my first touring bike recently. Will try touring the island once the COVID restrictions lossen up a bit.
Cool! There is alot to explore here. Some of the highways up island near Naniamo are a pain to bike around. What kind of bike did you get?

Awesome! Bike safe
DId you ride up to Duncan or ride through Shawnigan to start?
My wife dropped us off at the Kensol Tressel. I wanted to cut out the section up to Shawnigan so we had more time to explore on Gordon Bay Road.
