Patience is key to greater despair, monsters know it. The thing I love about this show is that they don't give you a big blow at once, when you think it can't get worse it does, they could have killed the livestock and destroyed the crops sooner, starving them, it's just not as fun.
So I have noticed that whenever people die in fromville they are almost immediately replaced by a new person or group depending on the amount of people that died. It starts with the very first episode where the entire family dies including the father (This happens very slightly after the mathews arive) and that's why they get replaced with the Mathew's family, now you may wonder well jade and toby came the same day and yes but that was an unnatural phenomena in which we are told it does not happen very often. Next after colony house was attacked we lost a ton of people, you know what happened the VERY NEXT DAY? The bus shows up basically refilling the population. The reason I bring this up is I believe that with Tian Chens death I think someone or a couple people will show up with something to help us get through this rough patch with food shortages and winter on the horizon. EDIT: Just to add to this, my head cannon is that Tabitha and victors father will be arrested and on the way back to the precinct they along with the officer are transported back into fromville, this obviously happens a few episodes in the season to give Tabitha enough time to discover some things.
Yes! I agree and I have a theory about people and their fear is what gives the energy in fromville. Like when people are panicking or sad the radios turn on and when the tower was being built and the storm came and everyone was scared and going crazy all the bulbs exploded like an energy overload
@@elizabitty213The monsters said it was their hope that gives the town power not their fear. The thing with the tower could be due to the fact that everyone was hopeful it’d work.
Yeah hate to see her go...it will be hard for the town to replace her. I wonder if they will keep the actor and have her appear to Kenny like Khatri appears to Boyd.
Love these theories! I just want to add that I feel like the monsters poisoned the crops. I’ve been uncomfortable from DAY ONE with them leaving their crops outdoors overnight unprotected. The situation with the animals confirmed it for me - the monsters realized they could attack their food supply when they heard Donna say that they were in trouble because the storm wiped out half of their crops. They need to grow them indoors in containers.
Really! Grow food for the amount of people in Fromville inside?? Where? How? When? I’m sure you were really worried about this prior to it becoming a real issue. You are an enlightened one.
@@Ets638 I’m just a logical one. Would you leave your food outside with those things and come out the next morning and eat it? And yes, it’s even worth dedicating a whole house to acting as a greenhouse, repurposing or building containers, and throw a talisman in there. I have to say… I’ve loved the From community to date, because people share their theories and we all work together to try to figure this mystery out. That’s the spirit of this community. I encourage you to keep the negativity to yourself if you respond to other people in the future, because it would be a shame to see this community lose that special spark it has.
@Ets638 booo your response sucks. The best part of this show is reading people's ideas. Ladylmano, since this grow it in a greenhouse do you know if the use a talisman?
With the knowledge that NOTHING can leave the town, I can’t wrap my head around why Boyd felt the need to risk lives to go get the animals right that second. Why not go find them the second the sun comes up?
Even if the monsters killed the animals, they can salvage the meat in the morning. It takes a while for a fresh animal to cool down, and the nights are probably cold enough now that the meat won’t spoil.
Why would u eat meat killed by the monsters.. and secondly. Boyd didn't ask anybody to come out.. He even asked them to go back but they refused.. it's not his fault she died..
There is a LOT of forest out there. If they are exploring for days (ie Jim and Kenny lookingfor Tabitha), then it would be difficult to track down the animals again.
The Matthews annoy every bone in me except Julie. I never understand how Jim keeps surviving. Ethan is older enough to get slapped cause he is no dummy to the situation so to do that was foolish. And Kenny the second time a parent is killed messing with the Matthews. But will come back and blame Boyd and not himself..Poor Mrs Lui. You was a real one.
The only one of them I like is Tabitha. I actively root for Jim, Julie and Ethan to get destroyed 😂😂😂. I REALLY don't understand how Jim survived under that house.
Two problems with the theory, 1. She fell from the tower and teleported, didn't use the tree. 2. Victor never got transported even though he had the address as well.
But the tree seems to exist independent of the tree. Boyd and Sarah got dragged in the tent and saw what looked like the light from the lighthouse shining against the tent as it rotated. They never went through the tree.
Feeds off their fears. Last season, when the angry guy in the bus showed his lack of fear, the monsters lost their power at that moment in time. It is just a small part of it I think.
My theory is that the preist in the church may know what Tabitha was talking about cause if you go back in re watch the church scene Tabitha says "He's the one that let my baby fall off that table" and when she leaves the confession booth the preist says "What was HIS name" but she never mentioned Thomas name or gender 🤔
Maybe this happened to the priest once before. A distressed woman coming in talking about this weird place where monsters crawl and how she lost someone - a boy. It could be Victor's sister or mom.
Why didn't they just get the cows and sheep into the nearest house! Instead of wasting precious time going for the barn! They prob could've gotten them in somehow. So sad Kenny's mom 😥😥
OmG!!! I just finished the episode and I wasn't ready. It was good and brought out a myriad of emotions. I just want to send Kenny hugs. I got tickled because Lil Ethan has an attitude now, but who can blame him. The place is taking a toll on them. The monsters ain't playing no more.
Because he doesn't trust Victor, so he instead asked Boyd, who definitely has the most experience in going into the forest and coming back alive.... remember they don't know if Tabatha has made it out... Regarding the cows and sheeps, they went for the cows because they are easier to chase and more valuable they know they already lost a bunch of them anyways... they could have rushed them in the nearest house... but I think it's difficult given their size... also people forget when you're too afraid, your thought process and decision making is not optimal and bright..
Went down the rabbit hole and Victors lunchbox holds a very interesting history. Apparently there is a connection between the date 1597 and the land itself. “In 1597, Cornelius Wytfliet, a geographer from Leuven, created a map of Northeast North America that included the Penobscot River in present-day Maine.” Tying this together is a mythical land called Norumbega. Perhaps its history holds a key to what’s going on in this town.
Also, to answer your effigy question I read up on the history of pagan effigies and by the appearance of them being constructed with thorns/vines means a close relation to fairies or the fairy world. They also are a symbol of sins, sorrows or hardships sculpted in the form of the punished souls hence their human like appearance. My guess is this was one of many towns that were drawn in or consumed by this place. Another theory is the trees/entities are doing more than just moving. They are looking for more victims/towns to consume or to punish. Maybe a generational curse.
I was under the impression that them being pulled around in the woods was actually the lighthouse rearranging the woods each night like an randomization of the "world map" so to say, each night. This would account for them being pushed/pulled in a certain direction and then ending up randomly in the spider nest.
Another thing I just caught on remember when Tabitha went to talk to da priest she didn’t motioned it was a boy or a girl she just said child fell of the table how’d the priest know it was a boy?❓🤔
I just discovered this show and thus discovered your channel and let me say your coverage of this show is ADDICTING! This episode was fantastic. A real gut punch that almost made episode 2 stressful to anticipate Kenny’s reaction. I was a little surprised to find out they don’t have the animals locked up with a talisman at night though.
That’s what I was thinking, but if they never did anything ever before. so I can see why they didn’t think to do so, when u need the talisman for the houses and busses apparently.
@@Deadsoul770 I don’t think cows fit into regular doors the sheep I get, but also I think animals can be stubborn and not go in places they don’t know.
Omg I am shooketh! Kenny's mom!!!!!!!😫😭😥 And that poor cow, I'm traumatized!! Also why in the hell did she not tell the mom call the police, scream for help!? VICTOR'S A G!
Tell her mom what? Shes somewhere in california, texas, maine, florida or somewhere in between with a bunch of missing posters people? Her family is missing, if she dosnt have a good explanation for that she gets locked up and then no hope of helping her family.
@spoons250 Very true! I don't know I'm just thinking they've tried so hard to make contact with the outside world in season one and season two, looking for a way out and she finally made contact and said..."Hi mom were fine everyone says hello." Lol.
Tillie gotta be the kimono entity haunting Elgin or connected to it cuz why was she conveniently in his dream and could see what he saw but wasn’t there when he woke up. 2, I’m starting to think the entity(s) are around listening through someone or someone who keeps showing up to hear the plans keeps finding out the plans to purposely counter
@@donaldbaileyiii8182 There are too many Chekhov’s gun’s with her. Too many red flags and oddities. I’m not ready to say she’s evil(maybe she’s there because the boy in white or the entity he serves sent her to help them) but I’d be a little surprised if she turns out just to be another survivor. She’s just…odd. Out of place.
if they toy with the humans and need some to be alive why kill their food supply? Money all the entity needs the humans alive but is now ramping things up by poisoning the soil but keeps them just enough alive
The tent was pulled by tree roots. Makes sense s2 finale that could be the only thing under the rv that could move. The roots could also be poisoning the ground. There’s a sentient big tree in the center of the fromville that needs to be destroyed.
Really hope we start getting some answers and they don't leave us in the dark too long, they'll drag this on and write themselves into a hole. They did that with Lost
I don't think Kenny's Mom survived sadly. Also, is anyone else annoyed with Ethan? Damn kid is undisciplined and putting people in danger with his reckless behavior.
People hating on Ethan for going after the goat... But think about it, the adults just spent the ENTIRE episode stressing about how important the livestock are to their survival. He knows it's one and only resource they have. He's literally just been told that the goat he's been friends with since the first season is going to save the town. So when he sees all the adults being brave and selfless as they try to get the animals to saftey, of COURSE he's going to open the door to save Alma!! He's a kid who came here believing in heroes and quests... He doesnt want to standby when he believes he can help save the town.
Its interesting that the person they managed to torture and kill IS the person that came up with the idea of growing crops elsewhere.....and now I am really starting to side eye Donna...both instances she was there for BOTH ideas. And then them monsters come up with their crasis plan.
So no one ever thought of assigning someone barn duty with a talisman for the animals? You'd think with food being scarce, you'd protect your food source.
Thank you! I'm also team "I don't think that ghost is evil". It just fits the pattern; everything that seems bad at first turns out to be good and everything that seems good is bad. The from creatures look nice at first, but they freaky af. The ballerina/music box, image of grace and beauty, harbinger of death. The anghkooey kids, seemed suspect, but were super helpful. Victor... I mean, the jury's still out, but he's only ever been helpful when he's not being evasive (dude got PTSD and plot's gotta plot so I'm giving him a pass). TLDR: nothing is ever as it seems in this show.
Went looking for commentary for this amazing show called "From" and the algo-Faes brought me to this channel. Got my sub. Thanks for the great breakdown!
Excellent review as usual! I find it interesting that the boy in White is in the real world. I believe he is the one bringing certain people to the town to help. It is no accident that Mr. Fish and Loaves and others made it to the town. I believe he is trying to help them survive the game in his own way. Choosing a person known for organizing and setting up a camp with little resources for the purposes of survival is genius. Keep up the good work Eman. See you on the next video!😉
Thank you broooo. You are the first reviewer who talks about Tabitha and the "real" world. Every other RUclipsr just summarize the episode and talks about the episode. Subscribed for your critical mind and your funny moments!
"...gave his old girlfriend a questionable haircut" (bah-dump-dump)... you are killing it. Love the commentary, I'm not into the conspiracy theories and connections - I like to let the story unfold and let it play out, but this was an amazing recap and did give me things to think about and chuckle at... Poor Mrs. Liu... (she'll be back in characters talking to her although she is gone) I will write that I think Ethan could end up being the future Victor- History repeating itself if the townsfolk end up wiped out and he's the only one left standing. Just waiting for him to start writing, "redrum" on the walls.
Did anyone notice when Tabitha was waiting for the elevator it came down from the 13th floor? Building don’t have a 13th floor listed. It goes 12-14 right?
@RtytheRT Maybe it is Victor's sister's husband. Maybe she made it back, grew up, got married, but continued to be haunted by the memories of her time in Fromville. That would explain the paintings seen in the season 3 trailer. Her husband would be around Victor's age. Tabitha just assumed it was Victor's dad and in the next episode she will be corrected by him. I don't know, that's my guess because yah, Victor's dad should be a lot older. Either way, it was a great episode.
The actor who plays Victor, Scott McCord, is 53. The Actor who plays Victors dad is Robert Joy, he is 73. He’s definitely old enough to play his dad. Victor has been living in a high stress environment, stress will age you very fast!
@@greasher926 thank you for the information, I didn’t check into the actors age, and my wife and I were wondering if they were close in age. I just didn’t take the time to google.
@greasher926 Thank you for this info. I rewatched the episode, and I could better see the age difference this time around. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything goes this season. It's a great show and cast!
I’m enjoying this new season thus far. I hope they keep everything moving smoothly with enough suspense to keep us engaged while providing enough info to keep us satisfied about what’s happening. 🎉🎉🎉
21:04 yes, she tried to drown Elgin. Elgin even mentions that when the people found him asleep he wasn't in water, but he was spitting up water like he was drowning until they woke him up. It was similar to the Cicadas burning Kenny in his dream and then he had a burn on his arm when he woke up.
That was a first episode and a half, wow seriously... have not felt genuine chills watching a horror series/film for a long while. Have to say, as someone that gets sleep paralysis quite often, Elgin's sleep monster reminded me of the entity in my sleep paralysis episodes. It sometimes leads me to force myself to stay awake -I know as soon as I fall asleep again, she'll be there waiting for me. Really chilling scene. I absolutely do not trust Tilly... Not ready to face the aftermath of what happened to one of my favourite characters next week. :(
With the portal taking her directly to Victor's hometown after his mother specifically said the lighthouse is where they could go home makes me think each person in Fromville has their own portal scattered across the woods they must take to go back home. (Lighthouses are also prominent feature in coastal Maine)
The portal took her to the same Lighthouse that Boyd and Sarah had seen. It's also the same Lighthouse Tabitha saw in her own dreams in season 1. It's in Fromville. It was the Boy in White pushing Tabitha that sent her out of Fromville and into Maine. It was just delayed until she was out of the Lighthouse.
Thank you for your insight in theories, brother I'm hooked on this show and I have a lot of questions and theories of my own but I don't know many people outside of the internet watching the show. Keep doing what you do E! 🙏🏿
Stupid? Maybe. But those animals were the last food source they had. If they lost them in the woods they’d all starve. Boyd’s reaction was driven by instinct and a desire to save the community. It wasn’t a “bad” choice just not a wise one. If I had been Boyd I’d like to think I would have stopped and asked myself “why” the animals were out and “where” the monsters were.
@@rainbowsixODST But risking life for them is ok but I'm not satisfied because if they had the idea or a way to kill the monsters.. then taking that weapon and killing them ,if practically possible, then Boyd is 👍 right... else it was a bad idea but also at the same time he can't see like that too... I'm 50-50..😭
Boyd's out there, saving people leave him alone. The other option was they have no food, which is death and bedlam cause some are trying to take food only for themselves and that would be the towns people attacking each other. These people are in trouble, and I can understand the need to get the animals back. He told Tien Chen to go, and she refused,he isn't to blame. He will be blamed, though, cause that's what people do Blane others for awful situations
Crazy, heartbreaking episode!! We've gotten so many connections and "mirroring" of Victor's family and The Matthews. I have a theory we may find out Victor's mom also lost a baby. I have always thought the boy in white was Somehow associated with Thomas And that could explain why Victor and Ethan saw him. Both families being mirror images of one another but from different Cycles in the town
This show just gets better and better. I was at a complete loss at the end of this episode - like how are they gonna survive when these monsters are just getting more brutal and all the best people in the town are just throwing in the towel or running on fumes. I think they have to follow these monsters lead and start setting traps for them to at least keep them off their food supply & idk get a carrier pigeon out to Tabitha about getting some good soil and materials for a greenhouse into the town whenever she comes back. I do think she will eventually make her way back.
You're videos are informative, and funny!! @12 min 5 seconds - calling Tabitha's people to pick her up and bring her a hot plate of food- heck yeah!! I agree, lol!
I dont think bathtub lady is evil. As a matter of fact she has some sort of strong Bond to Elgin. She touched his face in a very loving way. Like a Mother does when she hasn't seen her child in a while.
So stoked to have from back🎉😍🤧😩but guys hear me out..what if that kid in white tabitha keeps seeing could be an older version of her son thomas that passed away, remember time doesnt hold weight on that town.maybe he helping her due to also her ptsd of losing him..i dont know, this just came to me..correct me if im wrong
Told folks it was Kenny’s mom but what’s funny was the monsters and handcuffs, and poor boyd trying his best to make himself believe the “ we’re still in this speech”!😂 Fatima’s pregnancy is weird because she told Tilly she wasn’t supposed to be able to get pregnant. We’re gonna be introduced to …. Nah ima save that don’t wanna spoil
My Theory is that, there things at play keeping these monsters at bay. From the random people walking into the town and never going out. The more you look at this, is that the humans are the herd and the monsters are the actual shepherds. I mean think electricity with no connection to a grid or power source, Animals who were just there. Who placed them.

I cracked up at that scene too ..😂😂😂 like yeah Victor ... 😂😂😂.. Victor said I'm a Grown Man and no one is about to treat me otherwise 😂😂😂
With the knowledge that NOTHING can leave the town, I can’t wrap my head around why Boyd felt the need to risk lives to go get the animals right that second. Why not go find them the second the sun comes up?
Thank you ! Im not alone

As someone who lost their mom! That scene w Tabitha calling her mom had me in shambles. Great review
Does anyone else get the feeling that Tilly wasn't really there this whole episode. She kept being there and then just gone.
She da devil. BTW does Elgin remind you of big Sweets from Cadence?
I don’t think she’s real

I still think Tilly is the source fr
I think she might’ve passed away on her sleep and they won’t notice for a few episode we did know she has cancer and mari dipped into her morphine
I think Tabitha went to Victors home town through the tree because his address was on her when she went through the tree.
🤯 that makes a lot of sense.
Two problems with the theory,
1. She fell from the tower and teleported, didn't use the tree.
2. Victor never got transported even though he had the address as well.
Omg that's what I came up with. Whatever artifact, from that time or place, may take you there. I hope she finds a way back.
@@WhatzHappeningNow9 I think the tower was an extension of the tree.
But the tree seems to exist independent of the tree. Boyd and Sarah got dragged in the tent and saw what looked like the light from the lighthouse shining against the tent as it rotated. They never went through the tree.

Good point!
the priest in that church is suspicious, I mean I doubt it's just a bad actor, I think he's supposed to seem suspicious.
Maybe god told him
Damnnnnn hmmmmmmm🤔🤔
Maybe this happened to the priest once before. A distressed woman coming in talking about this weird place where monsters crawl and how she lost someone - a boy. It could be Victor's sister or mom.

Why didn't they just get the cows and sheep into the nearest house! Instead of wasting precious time going for the barn! They prob could've gotten them in somehow. So sad Kenny's mom 😥😥
The cows probably wouldn’t want to get into a house/wouldn’t fit, and they DID get there in time, but the monsters were waiting there
@@dannydishes yeah you are right. I knew something like that would happen! Wow what an episode. Acting is excellent Boyd especially.
OmG!!! I just finished the episode and I wasn't ready. It was good and brought out a myriad of emotions. I just want to send Kenny hugs. I got tickled because Lil Ethan has an attitude now, but who can blame him. The place is taking a toll on them. The monsters ain't playing no more.
Kenny’s gonna have the most legendary crash out this season
First his dad then a junkie stole his love interest now his mom got tortured to death
Yep and norumbega was related with Norse settlements and the runes in from world are Norse
Noooo, Kenny's mom!!!! They could of gave us 2 eps damn

I was under the impression that them being pulled around in the woods was actually the lighthouse rearranging the woods each night like an randomization of the "world map" so to say, each night. Another thing I just caught on remember when Tabitha went to talk to da priest she didn’t motioned it was a boy or a girl she just said child fell of the table how’d the priest know it was a boy?❓🤔

That’s what I was thinking, but if they never did anything ever before. so I can see why they didn’t think to do so, when u need the talisman for the houses and busses apparently.

Excellent review as usual! I find it interesting that the boy in White is in the real world. I believe he is the one bringing certain people to the town to help. It is no accident that Mr. Fish and Loaves and others made it to the town. I believe he is trying to help them survive the game in his own way. Is no one going to mention that Victor looks as old as his dad?
@RtytheRT Maybe it is Victor's sister's husband. Maybe she made it back, grew up, got married, but continued to be haunted by the memories of her time in Fromville. That would explain the paintings seen in the season 3 trailer. Her husband would be around Victor's age. Tabitha just assumed it was Victor's dad and in the next episode she will be corrected by him. I don't know, that's my guess because yah, Victor's dad should be a lot older. Either way, it was a great episode.

The monsters tricked them by leaving the animals to streets!!!Boyd did the stupid decision that caused others to put their life in danger😢
Stupid?

My Theory is that, there things at play keeping these monsters at bay. From the random people walking into the town and never going out. The more you look at this, is that the humans are the herd and the monsters are the actual shepherds.
