It's funny for me to see foreigners in Indonesia. Especially Jakarta. It's been my home since 2000 but I've been in Indonesia since 93. It really is a different experience when you can speak the language and understand the culture. Nice to see you trying to interact with the locals. Glad to see that in general they were also polite with you. Believe me it doesn't always happen. Jakarta is so much easier to travel these days. In my day you wouldn't have been able to make it anywhere without a guide

My freind lived in West jakarta by the airport somewhere but she now lives on the island of flores east of Bali Island if you go out that way I can set uou up to meet her I've met her on online dating but she is just a freind for 2.5 years now. She speaks pretty hood English and writes pretty good English. She lives in the city of maumere. If your interested let me know it's pretty nice there in eastern indonesia talk with almost everyday
