- I had less than one year experience doing these types of jobs. I wasn't aware of SRT, DRT. All the gear to make these jobs a lot SAFER!
I'm aware of all the mistakes I've made, and the groundsmen for not having helmets. Ive come a long way, but even till this day, I'm learning every day. Reading, watching, and actually doing this every day.
Any comments, tips, or suggestions please let me know in the comments

Is why he’s up.
He has DETERMINATION.
His parents taught him that.
NOT “God”.
Awesome man, I have to climb a palm one day they seem fun 👊
Poplar Mechanic getting paid to do what I love 🙏🏼
It’s a lot of fun my friend!
Hopefully I can join the 200t club soon 😅
Do it when they grow fruit!😃
OMFG.. you scary bro. But at least you owned the mistakes you made in the beginning and posted it, Instead of pretending to be perfect. Everyone makes mistakes like this entering the trades! Respect 👍🙌
I have to climb tall ladders while working on elevators and have had to climb up and walk on tall silos in the past as a job requirement. I respect heights but when I feel safe I can concentrate on work. I have to say this looks terrifying as hell. 30+ feet on a ladder is hardcore. This tree was over-pruned btw. I can see why you mentioned this was prior to being more experienced. Good stuff though. I've met many people that get shaky while climbing a 6-foot ladder lol.
I was very scared. But I knew once I tied my self with my flipline I’d be fine.
Here in Vegas, even if you educate the client about over pruning a palm, they “don’t care” 😅 thank you for watching
@@mr.benitezhimself I could imagine the customers saying that. I came across your channel while looking how to properly prune or skin a palm. I feel I may have damaged my Father's tree. I wish I would have watch some of your vids prior lol.
I know how it feels when you hear the snap on your lanyard around the palm you know your safe then.. be safe brother!!
Foreal! A sense of at least a little security 🙏🏼 thank you my friend! Climb safe
Saludos desde Visalia ca. Mr. Benitez!! I also love las alturas.
Beautiful weather.
Nice bro I'm gonna start using the petzel zigzag just ordered the friction saver! Cant wait till it gets here to use it on a palm
Jorge Perez be safe my friend! #1 rule
I also order a 2ft friction saver, so excited for when I prune trees. No more 4ft friction saver. I’ll use that one for California palm trees. (Much thicker)
Jorge Perez I’m glad you got your friction saver! Will save you a lot of time rappelling down
This guy is the best!!!!
BUEN TRABAJO BRO
roni martinez gracias amigo 🌴🌴🌴
Hey Mr Benitez I’m going to be doing this for a friend of mine this week . It would be my first time ever climbing a palm tree . It seems rather straight forward but do you have any other tips or suggestions? I’m more worried about coming back down rather than the climb up
Good job man 👍🏽 stay safe
I like using my had saw at first to make the cut s around my flip line while I get settled in to the palm and after in double tied in I let it have it with the saw it helps out not to Nick the flip line keep up the good work man 👊🏽👍🏽
BRUSH LIFE 💯💯💯 agree with you brother. Hand saw first, settle in, and start cutting.
Btw I’m looking to get a 200t! No more 150t, 193t or even 192tc
@@mr.benitezhimself very cool man shop Craigslist and eBay that's were I got most of my 200t I wouldn't spend more then 400 on one because it's almost guaranteed that the carburetor will be bad and the cylinder and piston so I would just make the assumption when you're looking at whatever saw that you're going to have to invest in a new carburetor and motor cylinder and piston kit is about 200 and a new carburetor is under a hundred that's my advice man I feel like most of the deals on eBay are just rip offs but every once in a while there is a good deal I'll be honest I don't know a lot about chainsaws but I do have experience in buying them off eBay and repairing them myself but I am not a professional by any means just a tree guy that puts the 200 t work lol 😆😂 another thing too is that some of the chainsaws you see on eBay might look nice and good deal but odds are they are full of china made parts
BRUSH LIFE bro I can’t find anything less for less than $550.00 not including shipping! And your right, most are pretty honest on eBay and tell you upfront you will need to rebuilt it. But still want $500 lol
Yeah sounds like a risk buying it without actually looking at it yourself 🤔🤔🤔
My email oscar88223@gmail.com man if you need eny advise man I'm willing to help in what ever man 👍🏽
@@mr.benitezhimself I was able to get a a couple saws on eBay for under 300 on auction they turned out decent sauce but I did put new carburetor and motors in them I'll keep a lookout for a good deal and I'll let you know I'm always looking for good deals on 200 t I'll hit you up if I come up on something

man’s got a lot of trust in that ladder
I do mine I have two palm trees but not as high as these. .mine are
just a little more higher then my roof top. .. always strap yourself to the trees. ..safety comes first. ..
jet Knight safety first 💯🌴🌴🌴
BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
You’re not even in the 40’ club.
Don’t flex for another 7 years.
Do a trim video NOW!
Soon you’ll have to wear a diaper up there...
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Todo porque nomas se mire nice.
Y si! Pero si pagan el dinero, vale la pena
@@mr.benitezhimself 😆
I'm trying this at home. Pray for me that I don't fall off and die.
Jimbo my friend, you’re life isn’t work a couple hundred dollars! Please hire a professional and let them handle it
Regardless, I’m praying you don’t get hurt climbing the ladder!!
Please be safe
Mr. Benitez Himself thank you I appreciate your comment a lot. The palm tree I am climbing is not as tall as this one in video. But 35 feet maybe. Still high enough. God bless !

I need to do this but I think I'm too scared to try it on a ladder. my trees are about 25 ft tall. May rent a man lift from HD. stay safe man!
I don’t recommend using 40ft extension ladders my friend. I didn’t know any better back then. Hire a professional.
where was this, it looks familiar..
Somewhere in Vegas
What tools do you recommend to put christmas lights on a 30 ft palm tree? I have the ladder already
a full climbing set up.. maybe $1k... or call light installation or a tree company. whatever works best for you
That's cool bro my respect good job but l would rather go for the throwing line cause your untied till you reach the top and for my that is too risk but like at said there's so different ways to do it thanks for sharing us your videos.
Tienes huevos 👍
😅😂😂😂
Chilllll bro lol

Depends on each palm

Sharpen that chainsaw dude. Takin way. Too long and only making dust.
Will Willis everyone’s a critic DUDE😅 thanks for your advice 🌴🌴🌴🌴
@@mr.benitezhimself lol after 2-3 palms loses sharpness. When I am on top I am like "chingase ya no vajo a darle filo". 😂 I take machete or hand saw blade then I am like "pu*a cansa, i'll hit it with the saw"🤷♂️.

You should start from the bottom not the top .
Easier to start at the top then rope down
When they have 5 years plus of growth, they can become a deathtrap going from the bottom. If you have a bunch of those that come loose it is extremely dangerous and can suffocate you
