I'm also a bit shocked that other comments are surprised by Asimo's popularity. I thought it was known that he's one of the most universally beloved players here! His dedication and perseverance with Ryu even through bad matchups makes him very easy to root for!

From the perspective of the USA Zackray was one of the best players throughout the entirety of smash ultimate. When he first came over for Genesis, he was the best pilot of Wolf. He did really well into top 8 and was very young, he’s always been seen as a prodigy over in the USA. His rivalry with MKleo was also a big storyline here, plus he’s a likeable guy.
This video is so funny and awkward haha, never change it! It's also interesting that this bridges the relationship between Japanese players and we get to hear their insight 🎉
No aMSa mentioned? Melee yoshi is psychotic to learn with DJ armor and 29 egg angles and he singlehandedly made Yoshi a high-tier. I guess it is an ultimate video after all, but some were asked "smash" and not "ultimate". My fave japanese ultimate player is probably Tarakotori for being an absolute neutral beast with Little Mac
