These numbers are bandied about but more than 70% + of that will be raised by private businesses eager to make a profit and the rest will probably never be spent, but it does get people like yourself excited. Dont forget the slice of the cake that will be used by quango's etc to administer the bureaucracy. 50% of all funding gets spent that way, governments are useless with our money

net zero was never sustainable, it costs too much to implement...it costs even more to every resident when the economy is in dire condition like the uk has. The US even dont want it because of how much it would cost to implement with trump set to axe it after inauguration, it justs costs too much to implement and in all honesty a greener economy is only great if you can genuinely afford it.

Reluctant as I am I have to say towards the end of their tenure the Tories had calmed the waters a little and the shoots of growth were begining to grow. How it would have contined I don't know. However if we had that scenario now I'd take it above What Labour are doing.
In its most simple form 3 things would need to be done to see a more prosperous future, deport, restric and get people working again. Well 4, reduce government and the civil service in particular.
Anyone wondering why politicians appear to have so little power in so many areas??? The civil service I'm guessing and until the civil service is radically down sized and changed to serve the politicians who in turn should serve the people, it won't really matter who gets into power.

    Context:
ACCORDING TO Professor Karoly, a member of the Australian National Climate Science Advisory Committee the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is 0.04%. (that means it is 0.0004 of the atmosphere)
The UN IPCC intergovernmental panel on climate change says that of that 0.04%, the amount that is produced by all Human activity on Earth in a year is 3% (3% x 0.04% = 0.0012% of the total atmosphere, which is therefore 0.0012% of 0.04% which is 0.000048% of the total atmosphere, = 0.00000048 of the total atmosphere)
Anybody who thinks the above amount has any significance must be mad.
Anyway, apparently Australia for instance only produces 1.3% of the 0.0012% that is produced by Human activity in any case. So why would they need to worry about what kind of light bulbs they use for instance?
Climate-change religionists have had people with "celebrity status" filling them with crap and they've love it, listening to heroes and following along, but it's all rubbish.
They want a carbon tax as the new means of control, because their banking system is collapsing and they can't wait to impose a world-wide government that nobody can ever oppose, that's all.

All this criticism of public sector getting pay rises, but let’s not forget just how much private sector workers were given for doing nothing during Covid eh? Public sector workers included a considerable number of ‘key workers’ and haven’t had any pay rises for decades. Spiting normal people having pay rises is pathetic.

Well we had a country just to the east of us, in fact several the Nordic countries that as we all know had a much higher living standard than us Brits, they chose especially Sweden but Denmark, Finland and Norway too not put their countries on lockdown and already whiting the first 6 months of the pandemic when these countries then especially Denmark came out with the horror stories of the vaccine itself and more also about what lock down did to peoples mental health and the economy as a whole, still the UK thought they were better than these all very rich countries that has the highest educational level amongst their population the UK decided to put even more draconian measures against its own people, while Sweden and Finland said it is up to the individual how they wish to live there lives with the vaccine or not. And now for the UK it is not even only our economy that is suffering we also have much more health issues both from the psychological stand but also from the vaccine itself that all the "experts" now say it was up to each and everyone to decide for themselves and people are dying like flies in this country compared to the Nordic countries were a much higher % of the people did not scare that easily and ofc that they have a general higher understanding/education in basic biology how a virus works and more over they knew that Dr. Fauci the leading big pharma of USA of their health department that helped created the virus also was in charge of the HIV/AIDS virus and that he starting testing that on the gay men in New York 70s-1980s the Nordic countries learnt their lessen then in the 1990s who were responsible for the death of millions then and a easy way out were to blame the gays that no one, no party were supporting in those times but oh no the UK, USA, the rest of Europe and western world din not follow these Nordic countries nor did they listen to them especially Denmark tried to warn the UK where the virus came from, who was responsible for it and ofc HIV also how to deal with it , the studies about the real danger with the so called vaccine, but both the Tories and Labour and the msm, and our "health experts" lied or kept quiet so that the Brits would not know what the most advanced countries in the world tried to warn the British public about. I was working in the UK at the time of the outbreak, I am a Swedish citizen, working as a UNI teacher in biology and chemistry but I was sent home as none UK-citizen but worked via PC-lessons for my students luckily I manage to get them the right information out from here in Sweden so at least they could make a qualified decision whether to take the vaccine or not, luckily my UNI were of the same ilk and opinion as the Nordic countries and we have not lost one student or staff member, but horror stories from other UNI entities are just devastating and they are still loosing students now because of secondary illnesses caused by bad batches of vaccine and or suicide cause by mental breakdown from that isolation lookdown treatment. Both the major old parties has a lot to answer to as do the msm, and the British healthcare department, but at least I did what I could based of my knowledge for my students and thank the lord they have all made it and are doing fine that was my main priority during the lookdown, I talked to many in the middle of the night when they were sad, worried or had meltdowns and by not stretch of imagination would I punish them for missed classes, failed tests etc and that was also the stance we all teachers took at my UNI but the British authorities were not happy I can tell you that and many many fight I and the rest of the staff have had with the police and other none science educated authorities about our way of saving lives. But we won in the end and that coming from a base of being the much more weaker part in this battle.
