I absolutely loved living in Hawaii years ago. My wife and I had a house in Mililani. At the time when we bought it it was 1981 and we paid $285k for it. Sold it in 1987 for $435k. Housing cost there is terribly expensive. I dare to say my old house there now would be well over a million today. My walk-in closet is bigger than most of the apartments you showed in this video and their cost is over $300k. lol Just wow.
It's crazy! One of my buyers bought his house in Ewa Beach for $650k 3 years ago! We recently sold it for $820K 🚀 And homes will just keep increasing. Buy and hold for generational wealth
@@hazelgacula8672 -- WOW! I lived in Ewa Beach for about a year prior to purchasing our home in Mililani. Lived on Aikanaka Rd. I believe it was 91-585 street number. Unbelievable how much houses cost there. And most of them were decades old when I lived there. I really should take some time off and come back to the islands for about a month or two. Meet up with all my local friends there that I haven't seen in over 30 years. Still keep in touch with a lot of them. Might stay at Turtle Bay Hilton on the north shore if it's still there. Loved that place back then. They had a great restaurant there. If it is you should definitely go check it out.
Thank you so much, your price range is a lot more realistic for many cutomers, specially singles, or newly married. I am glad you wete able to get your customer that beautiful place. I think it was the best buy for the price.😊
You girls are awesome! However, 285k for a literal 300sqft hole in the wall?! You'd have to be really committed to Hawaii to justify even entertaining this kind of purchase!
It’s Honolulu and that is the price you pay for convenience. Probably don’t have to drive that much around for job & or shopping, if you have the money then why not enjoy it. Truth is there are many places where you can find something within your comfort budget. Everyone can find their own paradise. It may be somewhere else on the island.
Hazel...youre very sweet but can I give constructive criticism? Ok, I love your music score. First dont bring a friend and giggle. Youre not making a home video. Less shots of you. Most importantly, if youre representing the condo owners, dont go "ewwwww" or condem negative aspects about the property. I like Eric West over on Maui...does it best. Best, get it haha? You did a noce job on that 3.5 m penthouse video.😅❤❤❤
Imagine spending 300k on a house in hawaii.... No thanks. Philippines I built a mansion on a beach, with pool, tennis court 10 foot high fence, guest house for $160k
Many consider a condo different than a home or house. You can get a much bigger condo on the mainland for half the price no problem and a real 3 bedroom 2 bath house for 250--300k. Oahu is way overpriced especially considering that many areas are pretty run down.
I was Floored see these tiny hole in the wall, being so expensive. its crazy, I'm looking to move to uahu but it has to be a house. I don't want to pay no ridiculous maintenance fee. Or live in a closet.
$300,000 can get you a house five times bigger on the mainland, and it is sad. It is not Haoles moving here that makes it expensive; it's all the laws and red tape builders need to jump through just to make a home. If they simply get rid of the "Hawaiian homelands" program and the laws/codes on building, homes will be much cheaper. And yes, I was born and raised in Hawaii and am Hawaiian. The "Hawaiian Homelands" program is outdated and stupid, with 60k+ people on the waitlist; if you do not know anyone on the board or don't bribe them, you will never get land to build on, and yes, the bribing/corruption issue is true, because I know some important people in that circle.

My husband & I resided in that 2nd building temporarily a few years ago. That elevator was terrifying and like an oven. Did have great parking.
Aloha Hazel!

Oh hell no!
HO-NO not HON no such word in Hawaii olelo as HON , shame wen islanders can’t even pronounce Hawaiian words correctly
It's a real shame when Islanders can't use proper grammar or spelling either.
