But if he had done equal treatment at that time - so now we absolutely not heard - sar tan se juda slogan on street of india today.
There would not be total elimination of hindus in Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Congress party supported sardar patel (he got 15 vote from congress parishad nehru got 0 vote)
But autocratic leader gandhi select nehru as pm (in india the one who makes joke of democracy was gandhi)
And Gandhi said - i had selected nehru because he looks more like English man than patel.
But main story was- as nehru was afraid of sardar patel (nehru for relieved when sardar patel died) in his government same gandhi was afraid that patel will sidelined gandhi if patel become pm (because all Nationalist leader understood hypocrisy of Gandhi at time of partition he said he will die if partition occurr but he didn't do anything)

UCC is not just the wish of Hindu right, because its a bill that is intended to provide unbiased justice to all the people irrespective of the background, geography, culture, their religious practice etc. If India wants to be truly secular and a democracy where justice is delivered equally, then it should not function under any religious law. The constitution ensures the law of the land , which can include sensible historical practices of all religions. Ideally, when law and order break down in a state (like WB recently), the president is supposed to step in, and ensure the people's safety. I'm not sure Murmu is capable of it. Post the partition violence, the strategy for keeping india together was to let people follow their religion/tradition with protections in the Constitution and IPC for the same.
This inevitably will conflict with the Nehruvian ideas of fast paced modernization. And it has been documented that Nehru, as a hindu felt he had the legitimacy to interfere in Hindu tradition, legally speaking. He was also able to manage this electorally by convincing the majority (united by Gandhi and other congressmen before him) that this was the way to progress.
As an aside, we might ask ourselves, if Nehru was the "Big Baddie" why did Godse assassinate a unifying Hindu leader, namely Gandhi and not the so called anti hindu, British crony and socialist namely Nehru?
Either way, the assassination served to delegitimize the hindu right (outside the congress) for two decades in the eyes of the electorate, allowing the country to take the course that it did.

Could he have been stronger and done it for all religions? Sure. But so many other things have been done.

And, of course Shekhar had to give President Pratibha Patil a pass because by Shekhar’s cluttered logic President Patil actually demonstrated how irrelevant she was - Her tenure wasn’t uneventful - 26/11 and a lot of terror, large scale government corruption and scandals unfolded during her tenure. Being critical of Ms. Patil would’ve required Shekhar to demonstrate intellectual integrity and cast off his obvious bias for the Cong(I). This discussion simply shows how caste and class driven Lutyens is, and how anti-caste Hindutva is. The president is important as heck. Even the vice-president is important, otherwise people would not be outraged by Hamid Ansari. As soon as an adivasi Hindu becomes president, Lutyens-controlled media says the role isn't important. Revealing.

This is not the first time this debate has been brought up. There is has been numerous times when this question was asked if President even matters? if yes what powers do they have and why MPs are allowed to choose the President? You are hearing these debates more now because of social media presence. I did remember how Pratibha Patil was called rubber stamp as well and there were discussions about what role does she really play. Why she has granted record number of pardons to 30 death sentences? Yes, there has been some influential Presidents as well like DR. APJ Abdul Kalam, Pranab Mukherjee which silenced some of these debates. So, its not the first time you are hearing these conversations. The way you have put up your comment shows how caste driven hindutva (not Hinduism) loving people like you has become, you are the one who is bringing caste into discussion. People are asking question about power and importance of President post, its called analysis and retrospection on things but again you don't want people to think or to question.

I am just explaining to you that these discussion has been done in past as well. The only nonsense I see here is your comment. Its both Hindu and Muslim extremist who hurt people.

3:55 you tell that nehru said it is not good for secular country and rajendra prasad said he would go and he gone. This shows your biased journalism one side you proved nehru's secular nature , hindutva of rajendra but you didn't tell that what rajendra prasad and sardar patel said. Both said that somnath temple destruction is a symbolic figure how Mughal devil and later British did damaged to sanatan culture of India.
And somnath temple was first temple which was renovating which was showing that India has come out of devil period of Mughal (murder, rape, conversion) and British (economic exploitation).
    Thus rajendra prasad attended.
But later rajendra prasad was died due to intervention of nehru and sardar patel died and nehru so called secular one sided politics continued.
Due to which - going to iftaar party is symbol of secularism and going to temple is communal.
India is a pseudo secular country where appeasement of minority (which is more than 20 Crore 😂😂 UN says less 5% of total population will be treated as minority but india they in 2011 already crossed 14 percentage but still enjoying minority status and no jain,Buddhism minority only mus&lm)
You biased journalist says that India should learn from secularism of America. But when a American president takes oath of bible after becoming president - at that time baised journalist go silent 😶😶.
But when a pm of india go to temple you barked and said- india secularism will be in danger.
    This just show your hypocrisy.
As American and France secularism based on Their culture tradition -values which is bible same India secularism should be based on sanatan culture.
Otherwise this country will be divided another time soon.

And of course Shekhar had to give President Pratibha Patil a pass because by Shekhar’s cluttered logic President Patil actually demonstrated how irrelevant she was - Her tenure wasn’t uneventful - 26/11 and a lot of terror, large scale government corruption and scandals unfolded during her tenure. This like most CTC episodes is filled with many layers of hypocrisy and wonderfully subtle bias and gaslighting.
