It is the nature: that the US, the UK and Australia, that they are controlled really by the Right Wing. They are called 'Newscorp' countries; and they NEVER allow genuinely Left candidates anywere near power
      :(
To stop Jeremy Corbyn here in the UK, they used a completely bogus framing -of 'anti-semitism'; they tried that with Bernie until they realised -or were told (it beggars belief) he is actually Jewish! :O

The masses can be deceived, but the people - NEVER! These are the golden words of V.I. Lenin. To enslave the people, divide society into rich and poor. And there will be a deadly confrontation for wealth. A situation artificially created by the rich to retain power. And, after all, THE SUN SHINES THE EQUALLY FOR EVERYONE. And a person is not much different from each other. Even if a doctor of science or an athlete receives three times more income, they benefit the country. Hollywood painted expensive dolls have shown their worthlessness in terms of usefulness for the state. A driver or a farmer is no worse. Therefore, fair social equality should be available to every citizen, regardless of skin color. Well, a senator cannot live without a plumber. Where will he put 200 liters of his waste or in the dark without an electrician. There is no bad job and every job is good and needed by society. Wealth is dust. You can’t take it with you to your grave. The democrats, deceived by their rich leaders, showed themselves in all their glory, but I express respect to the people of America. They found the strength in themselves to take the side of good and prosperity. Just don’t plunge into the rich lies again. Equality, justice and transparency are the key to success in good development. And be prepared that the rich, with their stolen goods and various tricks stolen from the people, WILL RESIST UNTIL YOUR LAST DROP OF BLOOD. They are such vile rich people. In a meadow, every blade of grass grows in the same conditions, like a tree in the forest, taiga, jungle. People’s happiness is in harmony with themselves, people and the world around them. It’s so simple .I wish happiness to every American citizen.History is written with your hands.Lay the foundation of a new America such that you will not be ashamed before we generation. So that your descendants would be grateful to you. Democrats, this applies to you too.... Good luck!

To my understanding as an american, he was a runner-up for Democratic presidential candidate way back in 2016, but the party chose Hillary Clinton instead. They have not picked Bernie Sanders since, and I'm unsure if he even entered the running after that. I 100% agree with you, he was our best option, and the billionaires screwed us over by not even giving us the option to vote for him. 😞
The other problem is because of how hugely bipartisan the nation has become, any independent/"3rd option" party nominees we could vote for never get elected (not enough votes). The masses are largely poorly-educated and restricted in choice, therefore voting based on party name and reputation instead of the candidates themselves has become the norm based on the small pool of candidates we are set up to work with for each election. We are given the illusion of choice, and between the back-and-forth in parties every 4 years and the fact that most of the predominant parties have similar economic statuses (definitely richer than MOST of us people), it seems as though the 2-party system is just a deceptive dystopia. All that said, I still take issue with Trump supporters/MAGA people this time because they made really uneducated/unresearched/morally-bankrupt takes that essentially screw everyone (ESPECIALLY minorities) over financially and socially.

Dude. Criticizing everybody else vs ruling country "successfully" are two different things. Nobody including Bernie knows if his ideas will succeed or not(if he is in power).
As of now he is criticizing and selling dreams, which may or may not work. If you have to be successful, you need to find a balance between different sections of the society, which this guy will find it very difficult considering his thought process..

I've been a stay at home mom the last 10 years.... my husband's salary has gone up a bit each year but we can no longer afford to take an overseas vacation like we did before covid. My kids have been out of daycare a few years, and now attend public school... but even with no daycare payments (which were considerable!), and no change in lifestyle, inflation has gobbled up all that, plus my husbands small salary increases.

Energetic, honest, always carrying reasons for the sides he chooses; he just seems like he's outside of the chaos of the political bubble America, especially its politicians, seems to find itself in nowadays. No, he's not perfect, but it hurts to see a man who has been working and yelling for decades grow older and older as the country he's trying to help grows more depressing, angry, and deaf. I really do hope the time comes soon where he can say "America's really made the right choices", because not only will be happy then, I will be too. He's looking out for the people the Democrats and by golly the Republicans seem to ignore, and sometimes hate.

There's something Stephen Colbert once said (possibly said it many times) that has stuck with me: most Americans are convinced to vote against their best interests. Do you want healthcare? Do you want to earn a fair living? Do you want your government to protect you as much as you protect your government? We listen to this and think these are good things, yes, I want that. But it takes just one *** to come along and say, "That's socialism" and it's dead in the water. Far better to make sure a billionaire becomes a trillionaire than it is to demand healthcare.

When Trump rolled back regulations allowing consolidation of small consortiums that price the majority of food and all of the fuel respectively all prices were subject to immediate change via the food group's algorithm that discerns what level of gradual increase would be acceptable to consumers and the fuel groups collusion with OPEC to keep fuel off the market to spur higher prices with less competition became the norm. Add Trumps stupid Tariffs which succeeded in increasing prices on everyday products and Trump having to bailout US farmers for his failed Tariff policy with US TAXPAYERS money and you end up with a disaster that could have been averted had he not won re-election. He is going to tank the economy if left to his own devices cause he has no clue what he's talking about and cannot assimilate any information imparted by his staff or cabinet members as he simply doesn't possess the intellect. Bernie is an independent, and the only reason the Dems chose him to run against Hillary is because they thought he'd be easy for her to beat. They had already chosen her to be the nominee, but had to have a primary to make it look legit. When Bernie started beating her, they cheated him. They also said he could never run on the Dem ticket again. When 2020 rolled around, they realized that without Bernie running, they would lose millions of voters, so they let him run again and cheated him once again. Why Bernie keeps kissing Biden's and the Dem's Butt is beyond me, considering they cheated him twice. I think about that all the time. In my wildest fantasies I can't imagine a world where I spend 50 million dollars. After I bought my dream house in a few locations, after I bought a few cars and watches and did only the most selfish stuff... I'm probably at around 10 million. So what the hell does someone need a billion dollars for. I actually don't know what it matters to them? Like why? If I had a billion dollars, I would take care of my loved ones and go live in the mountains in Oregon and you'd never hear from me. But they aren't satisfied. They demand more power. They want to influence our society in ways that hurt a lot of people and mean nothing to them.

100% right. And it was Obama that killed Bernie campaign in secret meetings.. and it was Obama that picked Garland first, biden picked him second and let him not prosecute Trump.
Bernie sanders populist adjenda is hated more by Obama and Biden Corporate owners then Trump. Therefore.. Trump is not prosecuted, but Bernie Campaign was killed.

It’s not just in the US. A lot of traditional center-left parties throughout the world abandoned working class polices in favor of this “third way” neoliberalism in the 80s and 90s.

We need an improved education system that teaches real civics. Working class Americans in the 1950's were better educated and informed than they are today. College and trade schools must become more affordable so that working class children can attend them.
