The Video of this is from Wimbledon Stadium, London. The band rented the Stadium and Dozens of Bikes. 65 Professional Models Raced Around Wimbledon Stark Ass Nude. Once the Rental Company became aware of how there bikes were used they made the Band buy all the seats. 😂🤣😜
There were women riding bikes around Wembley race track on the video for this, and Fred wrote this one it's on the flip side of Fat Bottom Girls which Dr Brian May wrote, that was about his take on life on the road, and this from Fred was influenced by The Tour De France passing the hotel they were at
No. It was Wimbledon stadium stock car dog track also speedway . SW19. No longer there now. Just flats. The girls in the video was fromThe sun newspaper page 3 girls. I think
Nobody can touch Queen's greatness. Such versatility, skills, talent, etc all rolled into this four-piece band. Definitely, out of this world! This song I heard is slightly influenced by Freddie's childhood boarding school days when he would cycle with his friends in India. I like how it talks about riding and having fun instead of being involved in all the politics and other distractions constantly coming in the way.
This is from the album Jazz, as well as Fat Bottomed Girls, (the songs refer to each other). The LP album had a fold out poster of a bunch of naked women on bicycles enclosed! Fun song, great reaction as always!
HI KIDS, THANK YOU for another QUEEN/FREDDIE reaction! It's a bit of a shame you didn't react to the official MV on this one, it's.... ....INTERESTING? ....HILARIOUS? ....DEFINITELY R RATED!! (You guys really NEED to take a few minutes to take a look at it, don't worry about taking the time to film a reaction... Just to SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT.😄🖖
You are so right Marcie...Can't listen without the video and remember the Boys were sooo disappointed they couldn't watch the filming with all the Ladies?! 😂 They had to replace the saddles after the shooting. 😁
Now you have to react to "Fat Bottomed Girls", because it goes along with this song :) Another very underrated Queen song is "Princes of the Universe", written for the original Highlander movie in the 80's.
They were recording in France and Freddie became intrigued by the Tour de France. And somehow Brian made his guitar solo sound like a bicycle race. Usually paired with Fat Bottom Girls. Maybe check out what they did for the video.
"Bicycle 🚲Race" was filmed at Wimbledon Stadium in south London. It featured 65 naked female professional models racing around the stadium's track on bicycles that had been rented for the film shoot. When the rental company found out how the bikes had been used, it reportedly demanded payment to replace all the bicycle seats. 🤭
Freddie was arguably top 5 musical performers, in any genre, to ever take the stage. Great channel..... repeat offender....btw.... since I grew up in the 70s here a lil fact for ya....Brian May (Lead Guitarist) his Father took a chainsaw to the fireplace mantle and made his guitar from it, thus giving it that very distinct sound.
Only the neck of Brian's guitar ( The Red Special) was made from the 100-year-old fireplace surround. The body was made from blockboard (strips of softwood sandwiched between two plywood skins) with oak inserts in the top and bottom layers sourced from an old table. It was covered with mahogany marquetry veneer on the top, bottom, and side to give it the appearance of a solid-body guitar.
There was a very slight double entendre in this song. Y'all got it fine, I think. I still sing it and remember how poor Freddie died riding his bike without a coat where he liked. Pump those pedals but stay safe guys, wear the right gear.
LOL, I remember the poster insert in the Queen Album Jazz 1978. With all the "Fat Bottom Girls" lining up for the bicycle race. Of course they were all naked. I wonder what happened to that. Thanks and God Bless.
in the video Queen had many naked women riding bicycles and when the company that rented them the bikes found out-they charged them with replacing all the seats LOL
I love all your videos - especially Queen - who I've just come back to listening to recently through these reaction videos. I think this song is Queen saying - we are so good, so tight as a band, so at the top of our game that we can make this little nonsense ditty and even that is brilliant. I used to sing jazz and my pianist was the pianist for the Duke Ellington Orchestra (he is now the band leader last I heard) and I know exactly what he'd say about this song. He'd say - "these cats are just having fun, and showing you their skills while they at it.." All great artists are able to channel the divine through them and project it out to the world and whenever I watch these guys - I know that's what I'm hearing and seeing. Also Asia I love your hair - really beautiful on you.
Yeah you have to see the video for this, which is really the setup for a poster that was included inside the vinyl album sleeve... a bunch of lovely ladies on their bicycles... naked! Lots of teenage guys bought that album! 😳🤪
When I was a teenager the explanation of this song going around was that it had nothing to do with bicycles. It was a metaphor for sexuality. BI-cycle. Based on the idea that Freddy was bisexual and the verses seem to make more sense in that context. The whole thing made a ton of sense to me at the time, but over the years many people have called it inaccurate and even silly. However, every time I hear it, that's the only context I get.
Being young(10) when this came out, this was definitely my song to ride my bicycle(which I did everyday) I had my 1977 Schwinn Stingray with the banana seat.I loved it and definitely wished I still had it,lol..I could never get on my bike and not start off singing this song😊 Keep On Rockin'
Freddie was probably sitting around saying, "We are so hot right now, we could sing a song about a bike and it would be a hit. Do you dare me to write one?"
I believe on the original album after this song it went right into fat bottom girls . Inside the album they had a picture of naked women on bicycles racing
It's a song about freedom to go where you like. Freddie loved his fans, but obviously he really couldn't go anywhere without being noticed, Freddie once said, sometimes I wish I wasn't Freddie Mercury. Not one of my favorites, but it's fun.
Asia- I bought my bike at Walmart and it works great. Don’t be a bike snob just have fun😂 & BJ”we’ll just start at the gym” lol. I love this song and all of Queen ! Enjoying you two and your Reactions so fun!
i really want to see you watch "a sunday in hell" now, its not a song, its a film about the most intense of the type of bicycle races that the first part of this song talks about
Not one of Freddie's masterpieces, but it's a really fun and clever song from him. (And not a song anyone could do.) He was supposed to be inspired to write it when in France and the Tour De France bicycle race passed wherever he was staying. On another topic, it would be amazing if you'd do their 20 minute set at Live Aid. It's amazing, especially if you read up a little on the background of the concert. (Heck, even just the Wikipedia entry.)
im visualizing a very young freddie walking around in his little shorts at my cousins house.. snacking on olives and nuts.. drinking some iced tea and walking by the pool.. playing an arcade game for a few seconds and getting bored.. going out to the garage and getting on his bike, and taking off down the streets of the neighborhood
Every time I get my fat bottom onto my bike, this song plays in my head. 😆❤ I've always felt like casual bicycling is the gateway to fitness. Fingers crossed!
I think this song is a metaphor. About being yourself, & not conforming. Weather to others expectations. Or. Societal expectations as a whole. Fred's version of I'm gonna do. Me. It's not literal.
This scene in the movie, How High, is still one of my favorite cinematic moments from the last 30 years. 🤣🤣🤣 Thank y'all for this reaction! It's the perfect start to my day! P.L.U.R.R. from Temple!
Walmart bikes are a throw away. Will barely last a summer. My bike ran about $3000. Have over 20,000 miles on it. Just regular maintenance like tires, handle bar tape, and chain will be worth the dollars spent. Plus you spend that type of money it won’t sit in the garage.
As a kid, a bike meant freedom, it meant being able to go places that you probably wouldn’t walk to, it meant gathering your friends and hitting the streets. Until someone was old enough to drive, it was how we got around.
Love this song. Love bikes. Hurray for this ode to a bike! Come to The Netherlands! Everybody has a bike here, young and old. Myself, I do not have a driver's license, so no car, because I just want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike. Thank you, guys!
You should review the Queen song "I'm In Love With My Car" Lead Vocals by Queen Drummer Roger Taylor. Its rare a Queen song where Freddie doesn't sing lead vocals
Oh, you finally reacted to the second of the twin songs: Fat Bottomed Girls and Bicycle Race. LOL. In many countries the video for Bicycle Race was banned. Why? Cause Queen got about 20 or thirty female models... NUDE... and had them riding their bikes naked. It caused a heap of publicity, not the mention all the stories about the making of the video and recording of the song. Fantastic! Cheers.
Oh you guys need to watch the official video … It’ll be worth the expressions on your face!! 😳 Naked models racing bikes around a track. 😂 My mum’s favorite Queen song & I’m pretty sure she didn’t see the video! “I want to ride my bicycle .. I want to ride my bike” … 🤣 🚴🏻♂️🚴🚴♀️🚴🏻♂️🚴🚴♀️ You gotta watch the music video!! 🫣 🤫 YOU HAVE NO IDEA 😅
Asia, hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day! Shoot..just buy yourself a Nishiki bike. They are always good. I request their song "Play The Game." Yall should play it haha.
A very Beatlesesque song. The companion piece is "Fat Bottom Girls". They make the rocking world go 'round.
I can't ever find the whole song at itunes. I had the album and CD I wished I could put it on my playlist on my phone.
Also like 10cc
I'm 70 and love Queen 👑. I ride my bicycle every other day. Keep in fit and live long.....😅

Interesting? Well that is one word for it.
Now you have to react to "Fat Bottomed Girls", because it goes along with this song :)
Another very underrated Queen song is "Princes of the Universe", written for the original Highlander movie in the 80's.
Queen are musical geniuses they have a huge catalog that will blow your mind on their versatility
One of the craziest genius rock songs of all time!
They were recording in France and Freddie became intrigued by the Tour de France. And somehow Brian made his guitar solo sound like a bicycle race. Usually paired with Fat Bottom Girls. Maybe check out what they did for the video.

They could have made a fortune selling the used seats
I’ve been listening to this song for 38 years and still love it!
Queen were truly way ahead of their time !!!!!!!
This song shows that Queen never took themselves seriously. They would sing about anything and make it sound amazing. BJ's not off on the video. haha

Brian's song Too Much Love Will Kill You is one of my favorites! Big impact on me in high school.

I always have to add that the whammy bar is one of his Mom’s knitting needles.
@@barrysiewert7386 Don't forget that the inlays are mother-of-pearl buttons that his mother gave him.
How can you not love a band so arrogant to include a bicycle bell solo? 🚴🏻♂️ 🛎️

P.S. "Fat Bottomed Girls" was on the flip side of this song on the 45 record. Since both were hits singles they called it a Double "A" sided record.
When I was about 6 this was me and my cousins JAM! 🤣🤣 Love it! Can't go wrong with Queen!
About time you do that song guys such a great song! Only Queen can get away with a song like that !
You have not really seen how talented Queen really is until you’ve watched White Queen at Odeon Hammersmith.
in the video Queen had many naked women riding bicycles and when the company that rented them the bikes found out-they charged them with replacing all the seats LOL

Good song it really takes me back to my childhood and what it meant to be a kid, biking around and not a care in the world.👍❤️🇳🇿🥝
Wife here..Asia..I was outside biking and skating all the dang time too..,Fun 🎵 song...Thank you for your awesome insight once again!!

People also put things into lyrics they want the hear. Sometimes it's just words that sound good to the lyricist.
@@hebber1961 Agreed. Happens all the time and very well may be the case here.

Freddie was probably sitting around saying, "We are so hot right now, we could sing a song about a bike and it would be a hit. Do you dare me to write one?"
Welcome to the fun side of Queen. They did it all. Great Reaction ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!! 😊
This song reminds me of a vocal warm up. I wonder if Freddie ever warmed up with this? At least the main part.
RIP Wimbledon stadium stock car track
The best way to describe your reaction to this is ........ COMPLETE BEWILDERMENT lol
To promote this album, they paid models ride through the city nude. Look it up
You really, REALLY need to see the video for this one.
BJ... Please watch the actual music video. Enjoy!!!
Yes Please, I want them too watch all of the official videos even if they can't show us, I think there missing out on Context and content

The Tour de France song with the bell solo in the middle🙂🙂
With the original Queen record album JAZZ there was a poster of Fat Bottom Girls riding bicycles.

People got upset he said he didn't like star wars!
So he had to explain in an interview that he did it just fit with the lyrics!
He then got into trouble for making an entrance on stage on darth vaders shoulders!
So he found a superman instead!
