What I really liked about this apartment is that not only were the renovations smart, it genuinely looked like people lived there. Too often architectural and interior programs show these little perfect models that feel to precious to be called a home. Not this one. A great blend of style, function, and comfort 👍
The use of different materials and accented designs are very clever and understated, but there are some small inconveniences that wouldn’t be noticed until you start living there daily. Mainly, having the stove top on the kitchen island without a back splash or induction vent make it impractical to cook anything without a mess or covering the entire living room furniture with oil and grease.
It’s great that the architect/owner reinterpreted a vision of the 1970s in this space, while also making sure it functions for his requirements in the current era. Very stylish and efficient use of every single bit of space, too. Well done!
Great job using colors and materials in keeping with the building’s vintage. This is too often overlooked and helps any home feel timeless, rather than becoming dated ten years after renovation.
This is absolute eye candy, every small detail is well thought out and every material used is gorgeous to look at and it all blends perfectly together. Probably my favorite on this channel by far!
absolutely agree! Delicate, clever, vibrant, playful and varied while staying homogeneous, and all that with a wink to the 70ies. Absolutely brilliant.
My favourite details ....1) immediately walking in, hanging up your coat and then washing your hands in that sink! 2) the way the TV is both central and accessible, but low, so it doesn't take over the space. 3) the kitchen cabinetry! 4) dimmable lights in the bath room! I only wish you could have shown the balcony plants getting lit up at night, that sounds beautiful.
Love the style of the appartment . Very understated . As a recently graduated architect who works in the arrondissement , it’s very difficult to find an appartment at a reasonable price around here (the price of the square meter has been multiplied by 5 since the early 2000s) , so you’d definitely have to find ways to make the most of every square meter . The surface that they managed to find is quite impressive to be honest and they made great use of it ! Also the mirror in the kitchen is definitely a trick I’ll use in the future .
One of the most wonderful apartments on this channel ! I love everything about it. The different use of materials, different textures, the furniture, the colour palette, the rounded shapes … but still everything in harmony ! astonishing ❤
Stunning transformation of a compact space into a luxurious 70s-themed apartment! The architect's use of rich textures and clever layout makes this 53sqm Paris flat both elegant and functional.
Incredible mood board without any disconnection, the multicolor absurd versatility. The bathroom resonate the beauty of ocean.Different material such as oak, faux cement concrete.Outstanding turquoise sofa ,plain white wall, mirror to elongate the space is undoubtedly a brilliant idea. The biophilic designed continue to bring serenity and peace, resulting a calm and relaxed ambient.
Really high taste level Jean-Malo, love everything about this apartment, especially the way you used joinery form to solve existing/detailing issues, and the play on mixing domestic and industrial textures.
Very nice job. Practical flat with a 70's atmosphere. The architect spoke about his terrace which is not. In fact it is a balcony. A terrace is built on someone else's apartment below. Meanwhile a balcony is built as an extension of a building which means that there is nobody under. It's empty. By the way the balcony is very well furnished and has a nice urban view. Congratulations.
Wow, this was an excellent display of optimizing smaller spaces without feeling cluttered or forced to convert every detail. It's stylish, yet practical and full of life.. Oh, and the yellow room is my favorite part!
Yes! I loved that blue tiled bathroom. I wish they showed the ceiling too so I can see all the light fixtures. The lights were really well placed as they created a nice mood.
wow, wow, WOW. Another one for the books. This aprtment is a master class in balancing, light, texture, color, and livablilty. The space is close to becoming a museum piece but something about it keeps the space from being too sterile. I did gasp at the baby blue bathroom, it is gorgeous, it'll be in my thoughts when I build a bathroom. A real slice of paradise in Paris.
I like how fresh and calm feeling he created in this apartment. The colors and forms give the impression of a cool breeze in the quiet woods. Nice job. ^^
i am in love with this apartment! its so functional and clever and so beautiful ! 70s elements really upgrade the style! entrance roof panels are amazing idea! the pool tiles are amazing and the balcony is heaven!!! hands down the best appartment I saw in very long time!!! well done... that's finally an architect that his vision is how to live and not only for video purposes!
I don't usually love the use of mirrors and steel but this is done perfectly! the combination of these materials with wood and some colorful objects makes the whole place feel chic and yet very comfortable. I love the blue bathroom, it reminds me a lot of the completely one color bathrooms that were very common in brazil in the 60s and 70s (and which I love)
Love the use of built-ins and various materials (ie tile, wood, stone, steel) while maintaining a surprisingly quiet, peaceful feel to this small space.
LOVE this renovation - every detail was carefully planned for...for a 52sqm apartment you can see how well thought out it was, specially in catering for all needs and maximising on storage...beautiful work!
I love how you use many different kinds of materials in the space! Going all white is quite trendy these days, but your apartment has a calming and cozy feel with its original elements!
Loved this one! Excellent furniture, material and color choises for the concept. The combination looks coherent and the space works so well! And the terrace 😍 Feeling inspired now!
Imagine living in such a wonderful apartment with a balcony in the heart of Paris! Although I like the whole apartment, I think the blue bathroom is my favorite room!
The laudry area is a stroke of genius. Practical in terms of being convenient for the areas you remove clothing but also the division it creates. That additional zoning is brilliant in a small space.
Thank God this guy is not my teacher. I did not pay attention to anything that you were showing us. I just fell in love with his accent. The way he talks just got me. His voice is so calming and seductive. I would listen to this guy speak for the rest of my life.
❤ J'adore everything about this apartment design. It's incredible how much functionality is built in to such a small footprint. I appreciate being able to see the building entrance, hallways and before pictures, too - it shows just how much vision this architect has! Lovely!
This is so well-made! The amount of storage is phenomenal yet it still looks spacious. Also the color scheme is not so monotone which brings joy to the eye! Personally I love the blue bathroom. I could totally see myself living there. Love love love❤
Love this. The blue bathroom is beautiful and so relaxed feeling and the living room/kitchen flows perfect and seems very spacious. Plenty of storage that is mostly hidden and not in your face. I would move in tomorrow.
50-70sqm seems to be the optimal size for one person or a couple. As the home appears to use exclusively Bang and Olufsen A/V electronics, this is a clue the renovation was not inexpensive. very tastefully done.
Not just the renovation, even in desperate state 53sqm (not small by any standard btw) in such an area and building, with a balcony (extremely rare in Paris), must have cost an awful lot. Add to that the all custom renovation with quality materials and you realize this is to be put in the luxury category.
@@rebours Agree 100%. I'm current in the SF Bay area in a 62 sqm apartment (love it) and looking to find (trade) a similar size unit in the Netherlands. Our summer home in the states is 300 sqm on 1 hectare of land. It is nice and quiet but a little too much to handle. Agree - Smaller is best!
Que lindo todo, me agrado el cambio de colores en el baño azul y sillón verde ,que rico saborear la vista en el balcón ,esas plantas lo hacen ver cómo un paraíso en ese pequeño espacio
I really like the layout and decor of the bedroom. The television on a frame with castors is a great idea too allowing the occupant to watch telly anywhere in the home. Also the hidden workstation is a nice idea.
this is probably one of my favorite spaces i've seen on this channel! i'm amazed that they were able to fit two toilets in such a small apartment, what a wonderful convenience! i can truly imagine how this space might be used, it's lovely.
Absolutely beautiful, I love how every small detail is throughly thought through. Love the colour scheme as well as the kitchen and island. Probably the best design I have seen on here. Congratulations Jean Malo Le-Clerc
Excellent. The reference back to the 70s is subtle, yet perfect for the apartment and the building. Great use to of space, colour and classic modern pieces of furniture. UBS, Toga etc. A place to live in every sense. Stunning. Thank you for sharing.
This Parisian apartment embodies the timeless allure of 70s luxury, curated by a skilled architect with a discerning eye for design. From the retro-inspired furnishings to the sleek finishes, every element exudes elegance and sophistication. The clever layout maximizes space without compromising on style, creating a harmonious balance between form and function. The apartment's chic ambiance is further enhanced by the abundant natural light streaming through expansive windows, offering breathtaking views of the iconic Parisian skyline. A true masterpiece that seamlessly blends vintage charm with contemporary allure.
Fantastic apartment, congratulations! So liveable, well designed and with such a high level of workmanship. Functional, timeless and beautiful, best of both worlds!
The beovision on wheels is such a clever idea for a small space. All too often TV placement becomes an interior design problem, but if you can just wheel it about then no problem

I think this was one of the most meaningful apartment renovations I've ever seen. Couldn't help but notice the level of detail and care that was given by the architect. One of my favourites, by far! Nothing is out of place, everything looks comfortable (no weird cabinets or stairs to add space), and so liveable. If I lived in Paris, I would consider hiring his services to redo my home. ❤

53 sqm is not really small. ;) Well designed, with a beautiful color palette and for once comfy furniture. It looks like you can actually live there not only for a short period of time, like other appartment designs with cold uninviting sterile atmosphere, sofas, chairs and so on.

Precisely considered.
But to its credit, it doesn't seem over-designed.
Just comfortable.

I FRICKING LOVE THAT BLUE BATHROOOM!!!!!
It's too eye candy.. especially Kitchen area.. also laundry area if done a little differently would be nice.. overall it's beautiful
This is one of my favourites. It's both luxurious and liveable. The retro touches and colours are really subtle and sophisticated
I think this is my favorite apartment so far. I love the colour of the bathroom and will steal that for our renovation.
This is a lovely apartment. I really like the fluted glass in the shower. Makes a nice change from all the clear glass ones we see everywhere.
