maybe you could do an episode explaining who all the sponsors are. i see lost of names and brand but i have no idea who they are or what they do. thanks for the show
Many Sponsors are subsidiaries of major sponsors like the barcode on the Ferrari is still something to do with the tobacco sponsorship and so on it’s mine blowing how many sponsors are involved in F1
Almost thought I was watching a Wendover Productions video when I saw the title, and that's a compliment to how good your content is!! I learned something new today, and I consider myself a seasoned and knowledgeable F1 fan. Thanks for these amazing videos dude, keep them up!
The issue with Mission Winnow (and why it should be banned imo) is that if you Google or Wikipedia it, you get Philip Morris. Not only are they still getting tobacco money 15 years on from the ban, it's making them more money than anyone else!
Great channel. I didn’t know a single thing about F1 & I needed to find information. Saw this channel and started to watch one by one, Man this is awesome. Informative, Simple 👏🏻
I. Retain the sponsors get their returns back, just by having the ability to,it’s to bring potential customers res to races. And it’s really nice to see so e teams get more sponsors over the years. I. Watching this in 24 and lots of sponsors for Williams, Aston Martin and Alfa Tauri and Team RB
Makes you wonder if another Brawn GP fairy tale could ever happen considering they started the 2009 season with virtually zero sponsorship and tuppence in their pockets.. Mind you, Rich Branson signed up halfway through the maiden race in Oz. Dude :)
What I would really love to see is some new F1 race tracks. To many of the tracks are to short or there is no place to overtake. Not many of the tracks are suitable for the speed modern F1 cars do. The FIA should be more proactive in this area!
Yes. Monaco is basically - Qualify position is your race position which you will finish in UNLESS - You do a charles and crash the car - You retire - Someone else retires - Someone else crashes - Someone elses engine gets BROWKEN -- Someone gets a grid penalty -- Someone gets a penalty Basicly UNLESS something bad happens to someone
I wonder if these sponsorships are worth it for their sponsors. Like for example, is Marlboro even seeing a return on having a logo that resmebles their actual logo on the F1 car? Do they see any return in investment or is it purely there because they can. With the world slowly understanding cigarettes are bad, I genuinely wonder if these sponsors see a return on their sponsorship. I see more applicable and viable investment returns for things like Dell, AMG, Petronas and others who have more favourable customer perceptions. But is it even worth it for a company like Marlboro to go through all that effort and only have a logo on a car that somewhat resembles another logo only when the cars going fast enough to blur it enough to continue doing so? I can imagine sponsors do see a return off psychological reminders and die hard fans who would prefer Dell over Apple because they sponsor their favourite F1 team......but it surely cant be enough of a pursuader for the average fan.....can it? Especially for companies like Marlboro or some of the more conspicuous ones or vague companies most wouldnt even bother looking into. The money they spend for those sponsorships couldnt be worth it.....could it? I get F1 is a global brand, and I get its fanbase is quite significant. As a North American (Canada) fan, its grown quite a bit and finding out that an F1 event even in Montreal or Miami draws in more people over the course of the 3 day weekend than the Superbowl and generates almost as much money, I get the appeal. Im rambling but essentially, It would be really really interesting to know if these investments even pay off for these huge brands. Basically these brands have to justify their sponsorship every year. I wonder how much theyre seeing in returns or exposure to continue to justify it.
Formula One's decline in entertainment value started when they lost the very lucrative cigarette sponsorship which enriched the era when there were 30 plus cars on track and even more teams waiting in the wings of pre-qualifying. F1 had prosperity, variety and spice then. Now in the era of meagre non- tobacco sponsorships we have only 10 teams which make for monotonous viewing. And the hard up for money mindset has prompted the enactment of artificial barriers to entry costs imposed to protect the 10 teams share of the pie. 20 cars on track is pathetic and impoverished.
@@TheMotorMouthPodcast Wow yeah touché. So McLaren are taking money from both the left hand and right hand of British American Tobacco (with Vuse and RJR being owned by them)

@@TheMotorMouthPodcast exactly I'm saying where are bid sponsors now. Tell me how many you recognise from any car. Coke sponsors McLaren but a tiny coke symbol on the side not a big sponsorship.
