    The bit with the square hole through it, is out of a mortise door latch. The spindle of the door handles pass through it and works the latch.

    Well done bud. Love your streams (I call them videos at my age lol), keep it up. Totally understand why you dropped off a bit, I have a 38 year old son who is non verbal autistic, and now in residential care after living at home for 32 years) It gets to us all.     Theories on Buttons, buttons were used as currency, maybe that’s the field that held the annual festival of the button. The button cult camp was there, or maybe just a seamstress thought one day in a couple of hundred years I’ll really annoy someone and just put buttons everywhere so they can’t find the good stuff 😂😂😂😂. Actually I had heard of clothes being ploughed into the ground when they could afford fertiliser, but if that was the case more would be damaged wouldn’t they? And if clothes burnt, you’d think more would be marked disfigured. So the Theory that is most likely is Aliens left them. Thanks for sharing
