In the side by side flat gamma, we see that the highlight are blown in the insta360 so even if it looks flatter it doesnt mean that you do have more data to work with, it depends on the actual dynamic range of the camera and the gopro do retain more info. So this one is in fact a win for the gopro.
You need to try the 1” mod. It is unbeatable for indoor cinewhooping. Greatoutside for a little more dynamic range too. Also you can get tpu mounts to mount the 360 vertically without the battery and power via usb!
I recently bought a one r but haven't tried using it on a quadcopter yet. Have you seen the new drone frame designs that incorporate an area to place the one r? They allow the camera to mount and face one lense down and one up and keep the rest of the drone in the seam line. They look strange but it would be so cool to get footage without the drone in shot!
Hey Matt, I've been meaning to ask about how you've wired your LED strips? How does that work with the varying power being sent to the motors? Wouldn't the LEDs blow from overcurrent (and then down the motor)? I'm wondering are they addressable in that config too? Thanks! :)
Really liked the video. Looking forward to a follow up after you have had it for a few months. Bit of an FYI for you bud. If you havent done any long shoots with the 360 mod, its good idea to do one of around 20 min or so early on. Some units have been know to fog up when hot from use. Btw there are a growing number of cases (myself included) of Insta360 are not being gems when it comes to replacing the fogging 360 mods. They will try to give you lens guards over a replacement 360 mod and then make you send it to back to inspect it for any scratches and "learn for the future". Plus if your really unlucky like me you will get forgotten about too. Cool idea, not so great execution. O one last thing that might come in handy. If you have troubles (continual crashes) accessing the files in the Camera01 file on the SD card. Set the folder to view as a documents folder. Corrupted thumbnails.... Video of that on my channel.....
@mattpochwat I know this a an old video but I just purchased the One R about a month ago. Of course right before they release their new version. Anyways since I have it I would like to use it more but on a lot of my videos I keep getting a bunch of noise/grain in the footage. I am using the 5.7k 30p setting which doesn't do it as bad but when trying slow motion it seems to turn out awful. Any suggestions?
Thanks Matt! I've been wondering if its worth it to get a 360 camera, even though I already have a Hero 7 Black. This video really has a lot of useful information that can help in the decision making process. Thanks Again!
Great video and very informative! I'm looking buying the twin edition of one R but i dont know how it would perform on iflight bumblebee v2 with all that vibration thing. Do you think there is a workaround that?
Can you or anyone give me some advice. I own the eachine 800d’s and I wanna do mid-range. Would it make a huge difference if I get a good patch antenna, or not really? I have a 400mw vtx.
Completly new to drones and have a quick question for you to go over if your want. I have never flown a drone, should I start with FPV or no? BTW your videos are well done and straight to the point. Thanks!
Miller Bernhardt Hi, I’m starting as well (bought mine literally last week and arrived Tuesday). I have found it easier to fly a more traditional drone to learn the ropes of it like controlling the different axis and take offs and landings. From my research, FPVs are harder to pilot because the drones don’t have altitude control and you have to keep your attention on that. Also, I recommend you look for cheap drone options online to learn how to fly, you wouldn’t want to crash a $400 or higher drone when learning how to fly. It is way better to crash instead a $70-80 one first. Hope this helps!!
Matt any say over the adverts that pop up, just eating breakfast when I saw a giant plug of wax coming out of a hairy ear !!!! LOL Great videos keep up the good work
Hey Matt I wanted to ask you if you're doing anything special to market your youtube channel?? You went from 500 subs to 7k sooo fast and I find it hard to believe it's just from the quality of your videos and word of mouth. I'm trying to start up and my channel and any tips would be greatly appreciated!
Nope, I haven't marketed this channel in any way. One video I made in the past caught some traction and gained more views than usual. That's all it takes 👍
This camera even better now so many updates.
Great review! I really appreciate your production quality and presentation of relevant info.
Love the One-R, the lens rotates to unclip.

Can't wait to get my hands on it... Xcited
Hey Matt! Check out Corridor Crew's video : "I built a real god mod camera! (360 drone mod)".
It might interests you!
Great work!
Yo matt, I think that you have good potential. your videos are unique and look professionally edited. Keep doing what you do and stop for no one.👍
Thanks for the review. Looks like hypersmooth boost still doesn't compare to reelsteady.

I like your review style and really believe that you are up to becoming someone big if you keep going like this!

Looks great. Pretty nice review. I’ll get an insta360go for a microquad anytime soon for a micro cinewhoop
Awesome Matt! Loving this review! Thank you for your comprehensive insight on the camera!

where was it filmed?
Hey! Which one should a cinematic pilot buy?
BTW Love your videos ❤
If you're focusing on that, I would say the hero 8
music sounds so good what is it

@@manuelmandujano5480 this helps alot. Thank for the advise!!
Miller Bernhardt Any time and good luck!
You did forgot to add the price for realsteady go, while insta360 gives you all the editing apps for free to download.
MACPAC! NZ REPRESEEEEEENT! Love your videos brother
I really really love NZ. Wish it wasn't so far away and expensive to travel to!
@@MattPochwat hi bro pls help me whats the best frame i flight or skyeliner help me
@@malithmindada3195 Probably rotor riots skyliner frame.
Great vid once again Matt. I think i'll be sticking to my Hero5 Session until I run out! Form factor is everything on my 3" :D
you’re running a full gopro on a 3”? is it stripped down or no, cuz u could be loosing major flight performance
@@emmettsewell Not stripped, runs a breeze with negligible performance impact
cam_fpv huh cool. in my experience gopros are usually to heavy for anything under a 5 inch if you want performance
