Dear Donald, I think the TF5's faders are thinner than these ones, thus If you dare and carefully free the 6 clamps and disassemble it, I think you could try to save it... unless it has the brushes damaged. This technique is applicable to ALPS, SSL, Euphonix motorized faders. In the last months I've changed all the eight-set faders of many CL's series modules although I found only 4...5 out of 8 damaged. Sound operators here used to eat and drink over the surface, for that reason , it is unlikely to find a fader with its brushes in good condition.
This is a common issue when the faders are A) dirty or B) its brushes are damaged. A) you can clean them, B) you have to replace them. Many sound operators tried to clean with an isopropyl alcohol spray, but not always work. I had to disassemble to make a visual inspection. For disassemble, you should have some electronics skills and a little patience.
@@gersonjose4105 Você pode tentar spray de álcool isopropílico. o que você não deve colocar desengordurante, pois pode secar o mecanismo e, portanto, o movimento seria mais difícil.

Hi Marcelo, I can see in this video you appear to be using 2 different types of fluid. Am I correct in assuming you are using Isopropyl for to clean the carbon strip and contact cleaner/lubricant to flush out the fader brushes?
The cleaning solution is only isopropyl spray. The background music that I used was the only which I found that moment royalty free, but you are right, is ugly and also it doesn’t fit with the topic of the video. Best regards.

Hi Marcelo,
I can see in this video you appear to be using 2 different types of fluid. Am I correct in assuming you are using Isopropyl for to clean the carbon strip and contact cleaner/lubricant to flush out the fader brushes?
Yes, indeed.
So are the faders touch capacitive and belt driven?
Yes. There is a connection between one of the terminals and the knob I measured.
The solvents/cleaning solutions/lubricants used are what? PS, the background music is truly horrid.
The cleaning solution is only isopropyl spray. The background music that I used was the only which I found that moment royalty free, but you are right, is ugly and also it doesn’t fit with the topic of the video. Best regards.
Os 2 produtos q vc utilizou pra limpar é álcool isopropilico?
