News of a remake they say is happening (sry i dont have a link to share). I do hope it is a sign that they are noticing the series and would develop again in the far future.
Didn't know about that, it's incredible! It brings the soundtrack to a whole other level with this total reorchestration, in equal quality to the FFT soundtrack (also composed by Sakimoto and Iwata).
Eli F they've already revived the sources. Nybbeth survived, and made his way to Eorzea. Many tracks were remastered for XIV. Much praise was had, so there may be hope.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn has a listing that just went up on PSN a few days ago. It's coming. Interest in the series was driven up by Nybbeth appearing in Final Fantasy XIV as I'd mentioned about 4 years ago, as well as several iconic pieces of Xenobian gear from the series, music tracks, and more. The Glass Pumpkins and Firecrest were included, as were weapons such as Baldur Swords, and the like. They have the full Rune Fencer outfits modeled in HD 3D in FFXIV there as well. All of this, plus the major collab work between Naoki Yoshida and Yasumi Matsuno over the last 4 years has driven up demand and interest for the franchise. To top it off, Square - Enix has stated in press releases that after selling off western studios such as Crystal Dynamics, that they are reinvesting in their own intellectual properties. That of course, means the Ogre series as well.

1 year later, and something stirs on PlayStation network's store. A listing just went up, called Tactics Ogre: Reborn.

A remaster is coming. But now we need a brand new episode written by Yasumi Matsuno and composed by Sakimoto and Iwata.
The perfect opening to the Age of Kings and Barbarians. Of Man and Ogres.

Were these images made for the Super Famicom release? I'm curious whether the art or the scenes themselves were developed first.
