Really happy to see you posting again! Magswitches can certainly be game changers.
Hi, thanks!
Yes they make good stuff. It is the ONLY tool company I talk about regularly on my channel.
I really like magswitches. From feather boards to jigs, they are great as you don’t need to make everything to fit your table saw or bandsaw tracks, and they can actually make you work safer as you’re more apt to toss on a quick feather board, jig, or whatever when you can quickly attach it to your table top. They also make great stops! I really have no use for the two magswitch devices on this video, but I can certainly see the benefits they could add.
I have a lot of their stuff, haha.
Thanks for watching!
So awesome to get some Kings Fine Woodworking knowledge again! Awesome video!
Thanks buddy!
Those tools are really amazing, James! 😃
Thanks for showing us!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Awesome… Thank you so much. Best to you and yours… Pats for the pups
Thank you for watching!
very cool, glad you like them, I'm not going to miss using a similar vise clamping method.
Really like the drill press mag switch, thank you
Thanks for watching!
James, thanks for all the videos you share. I can really use those tools in my beekeepers work shop.
Cool. Thanks for watching. I put links in the description if you want to read up on them.
Very informative James Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for sharing your skill and I have enjoyed the content
Congrats on the Demo and Andy Klein who convinced the team to build these tools. Winners.
Definitely one of my favorite tool companies. And I’m certainly lucky to have met Andy.
Some of the Magswitch tools are a lot more than just convenient, they’re real game changers in the shop! That drill press fence is killer, and I’ve used the vise base every single day since it got here. The majority of the time before it just wasn’t worth the effort to pull out the vise. Clamping it down was archaic compared to this.
James I’m so glad you’re posting videos again! Missed you buddy! Love your work and family 👍
Thanks 👍
Such a cool product! Thanks for sharing James!
Thanks Matt!!
I like the idea of magswitch, glad to see they're innovating. I bought one of their drill press fence kits a while back, with a gold colored aluminum extrusion (the kind with lots of slots in it). Unfortunately the extrusion was not flat, about .01" of bow in it. They were apologetic and sent me a new extrusion, which was also not flat. So, I ended up making my own L-fence out of some mdf. It works ok, and it's shorter which can be handy sometimes on the drill press so as not to get in the way of the chuck. Love your content.
Love your work 👍
Thank you. And thanks for watching!
Good to see you back James.Would love to have one of these but it will cost me more than R10 000,00 excluding freight.Stay safe.
I understand, thanks for watching.
I am so happy to see you are making video’s again
Thx for coming back!
Thank you! You’re very kind!
Looks like a good idea .
Thanks for watching!
Not in the market right now, but a very effective endorsement. I'll keep Magswitch in mind
Thanks for watching!
Very cool!! I'll definitely be checking out the drill press vice base!!
Thanks for posting this James. I hope to get some of these products in the future. I especially like the Wilton vise and the mag base for it.
Thanks for watching!
Great additions James! I saw it being used for the bulk Thor hammer video. It saved you a ton of time AND provides maximum safety! Always a great choice!
I’m a big fan of everything Magswitch makes. It’s always a good and useful tool.
I have the shop fox baby feeder and want to mount to the left side of fence so u won't have to continue to move but the rollers are not flat when trying to adjust , I can go the other way all I want. When I flip to mount to the right of the fence no problem
I like Magswitch for the drill press but as a hobbyist, it's a bit overkill. Nice technology that I will probably pick up at some point.
Man.. I miss your uploads. I have made so many of your products. Great video as always!!
Thank you! You’re very kind.
Thank you for your time showing the tools , I enjoy all your videos , would like for you to do more how to videos
More to come!

Thanks for sharing those tips!

Safety First, great tools Table saw kick back almost killed me, power feeder would of prevented that. My drill press has slots in thabl and I have to screw vice down, time consuming and still vice vibrates loose, magnetic base looks like a winner, Thanks James
That’s one of my favorite things about them. They are clearly designed to make some function easier, but every tool also add a big element of safety.
This is SIC!!! I did not know power feeding went past the thickness plainer.
Yeah, that thing is something else! It’s worth the money twice over.
It can literally be set in place in seconds, and I’ll even pull it out for two or 3 cuts!
i need one for my drill press. nice tutorial.
Thanks for watching!
I am an x ray tech and work at a place where we see quite a few saw injuries... one unfortunate young man was actually in the process of making some push sticks to save his fingers....😪
Can't name names due to Hipaa...but yeah....I noticed that you had the Sawstop and you still chose to step up the safety level..
I have not done much word working lately due to my full time gig...but if I had to cha get careers... and would be doing a bunch of production work....that Sawstop will pay for itself the first time you have the blade get wrecked instead of your body part(s).
Thanks for sharing these neat tools!
😇😎
I took off the end of my middle finger… twice… once at the table saw and once at the miter saw, due to simple carelessness. Same finger, same spot. Thankfully nothing too bad, but the 6 weeks it takes to grow back seems like an eternity when you need to work.
Tip (no pun intended…) for anyone who does something similar: after the 2nd or 3rd day, start applying frankincense around the wound. It speeds up healing DRAMATICALLY. You can get it from any essential oils dealer. Pricey, but I use it frequently. Maybe too frequently……….
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great info, James. I saw the power feeder and base in your recent hammer video but the vise base is another game changer.
Bill
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
A very smart tool for repeating work
Yes indeed. Thanks for watching!
Mag switches are so cool. I got a few for there products. All of them work well.
I totally agree. Thanks for watching!
Отличное видео,Джеймс.👍 Вообще мне нравится твой канал,твои работы,твоя команда. Удачи тебе.
Thank you!

I Want one lol the mag switch is more than the power feed !😮 Wow ! as always good video !
Thanks for watching!
wow.. that mount is1.5 times more expensive than the power feeder itself
Probably because they put magnets that can lift a car in it!
But I know. I was sad that it was costly. But when I picked up the tool and started using it, I could see & feel why. It’s a little engineering marvel that’s built like a tank.
,a cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you……
Thanks, will do!
@@KingsFineWoodworking Thank you very mutch... have a nice day.... see you….
👍I like the Magswitch design philosophy- simple fixes to problems - re the drill press vice base a small observation, it seems to me that four twist knobs is redundant you could fix a single cam lever so that pulling a handle on the front of base switches all four at once, just a very minor improvement, perhaps you could pass onto your friend who helped design it (Kline?)
Yes. Andy Klein was the one I was referring to. I’ll pass on your ideas. Thanks for watching!
I like mag switch too but for $800 bucks I think I’ll find another solution.
James, could the power feeder be used on the outfeed side of a jointer? To maintain proper pressure after the cut, especially on warped boards?
Hi James - thanks for this video, these magswitches look amazing..!
Hey, can you tell me what type/brand of blade you have there in your table saw, for that production work? It must get really hot moving so much material across it, so I’m guessing it’s a top line blade. Thanks!
Where do I go to order the drill press vice hold down and how much are they? Thx!
What kind of drill bit are you using for the mallethead toward the end if this video?
They are made by Wood Owl. The best drill bits in the world today. Here is the set I use. amzn.to/3FVkgyu
Awesome devices! Don't they also make magnetic featherboards?
The best! I put a link for my favorite one in the description. I switch it between my table saw & bandsaw. One day I’ll probably get a second one. Haha.
Great video James where did you buy your auger bit what's the brand name of it.
I’ve had great results with Woodowl bits from Taylor Toolworks. I have to do A LOT of drilling through end grain, which can be very tricky. I use a horizontal boring machine and those Woodowl bits with very clean holes.
@Steven Davis, I was wondering when someone would ask!
Just like Michael said, they are Woodowl bits. And they are unbelievable!!
@@KingsFineWoodworking Thank you so much for getting back to me. Your videos are great!!
@@KingsFineWoodworking LOL, I actually hadn’t watched that far into the video to even see what you were using. I manufacture parts for an audio company, and they have parts that are 2” long with a 9/16” hole straight through the middle of the end grain, and that hole has to be dead straight, exact size and flawlessly clean on both ends. Right now I’m working on a batch of 200 with another batch up as soon as these are finished. Woodowl is worth every penny!
$800 plus the powerfeeder, holy crap lol.. ill just drill 4 holes
Thanks for watching!
Power feeder- how do you ensure the rollers are parallel to the saw blade?
Hi! You don’t want them to. You want to tilt them very slightly towards the fence. This way they keep your wood very tight against the fence. It’s how all power feeders operate.
$765 for the Magswitch is really pricey
It's definitely not for everybody. Probably ideally suited for a production shop where every extra minute costs money. Thanks for watching!
I tried using your links but I don’t see a 10% discount. Is there a code to use?
Hi, no code needed if you use the link. You just have to add whatever item(s) you like to your cart. Then when you go to checkout, you will see the discount applied, and the new total.
Thanks,
James
The price for these is absolutely ridiculous.
It's definitely not for everybody. Probably ideally suited for a production shop where every extra minute costs money. Thanks for watching!
This has to be a joke. $765.99 USD.. You have to have more money than sense to pay that much for a 1 trick pony especially when you can do the job better with a $100 mag chuck and a mounting plate.
It's definitely not for everybody. Probably ideally suited for a production shop where every extra minute costs money. Thanks for watching!
