I tried to make a logo but when I put the extrude nurbs on it it only extruded the outline and the inside was hollow. Can anybody help??

is illustrator 100% necessary? i only ask cause theres this option in photoshop (cs6) where i can export as a .ai file- but when i export as .ai and open it in c4d, i don't see anything. illustrator is downloading as i type this, but i was just curious if i was doing something else wrong.

+its DELTA make sure on photoshop it's selected on work path not on documents..
