I sent it in few years ago to a repair shop that wanted 320€ because it has a "broken processor". Gladly I declined. Thank you so much, again. You are a hero ♥️

any tips as to where its located for first gen MT-09? mine is having the same issues and I would prefer to not spend an extra 300 bucks and deal with the DMV
@@jHippie Well for me it was in the same spot as in this video 0:27 . Just press the spot where the cable bonds to the LCD in the front of the display on top of the black plastic strip. I fixed it by putting some plastic foam (like earplug or rolled tape) and screw the screen cover back tightly.
@@jHippie It took couple of tries for me. The outside temperature seems to affect the contact (warm weather expands the material, cold weather shrinks)
you just need to connect power to it. if you look to the connector of the dash. GND is most left on the lower row. 12V goes to pin5 and 6 counted from the left side, also lower row. If you don't send CAN Bus data it will show you ERR but for just testing something you can ignore it.

the ERR on the top left corner appears if the MCU is not sending data to the dash via the CAN bus. Maybe there is just a cable problem. If you look to the connector of the dash. can bus cables are third and fourth from the right (top row).
For any body wanting to try it that just has a flashing backlight. I would be carefull. I just tried this, worked for like 1h, than i went into a store for like half an hour, when i came back and truned on the bike i had a big black spot on the dash...
Sollte schon etwas druck drauf sein. Wieviel genau kann ich dir leider schlecht beschreiben. So schnell sollte der chip nicht kaputt gehen also keine Sorge :)

These units are such bollocks. My second one has just died due to moisture in the unit
Ist es egal wie dick man das Stück dazwischen macht, oder besteht die Gefahr, dass man es zu dick macht wodurch der Sensor kaputt gehen könnte?
