Characters having free will without your permission... Yeah. Every writer can understand that pain. Same with those wierd coincidences of plot that you didn't even planned, but they end up there for some reason

Male lead looked at me in surprise. "I didn't know she was going to say that!" I said.
"Does she like Thai?"
"Don't worry mate, she will."
I swear mine write sentences of dialogue and description I had no idea of whenever my back is turned. But since they generally turn out to be the best passages, I leave them in the book. 😄
I’ve only ever written maybe half a dozen good plots so far, but I know I’ve got a good one when I have to rewrite swathes because “they just don’t want to do that.” I had a character completely switch political sides (alt-right to alt-left) because thought it would be easier for him to achieve his goals.

This went from haha funny short to fully blown investment, magic is a thing, Baron Mabry and the killer is still unknown. Happy Christmas and hopefully next year we get more of the story.

Obviously Jill just needs to become a writer now. Along with her other fabulous skills we enjoy through her RUclips videos.
Given that she presumably wrote all this herself, she already is a writer. Just not a novelist, which has some overlap with what's needed to create this series but not everything. And also requires time, which is currently spent on other things and would probably lower her video output. It may not be worth it.
i think the only worry is that, the main appeal of this series is the self awareness and the video format. translating it into a written form will be an interesting challenge

This was such a fun journey, and I genuinely got invested in it. I love that this all grew out of a little joke. It's a perfect format for this type of fourth-wall-free story. Thanks for the several weeks of fun and crisis and surprisingly sweet semi-forced romance ♡

Rewatching you read the feast of remembrance rite hit me the same way.

What a HOOT! 😂 You know, I've been loving this series and the episodic delivery, but something about seeing them all strung together just hit me in a totally new way. Love the characters, love the plot, but most importantly, LOVE the antics. Characters running the show, writers being unable to keep up... Just too much FUN!

This is a really delightful new (?) type of storytelling. I hope to see a lot more of it in the future. You could do similar type storytelling with all kinds of traditional genres...I'd especially love sf or westerns, but really any type could be made to work. The interaction between main character and putative author really made this one, but you probably couldn't keep that up forever without it growing old. I still think the daily one minute stories could still work without that device.

After the final episode came out, the next day I opened up RUclips and I was just like.... that's it. It's over. There's no joy left in mudville.
Watching through this... I can't help but wonder if the Baron is an ass but genuinely interested in Rosamund, and is a red herring of the real villain.... Whoever that might be.

As an unpublished writer, I can certainly appreciate the chaos that can happen when you lose control of your characters. I like to imagine it's because my characters know themselves better than I know them. 😁

Oh my goodness. I've been watching and enjoying this channel's content for quite a while, and yet this is by far my favourite thing on the channel. I absolutely love this. Also, as an aspiring writer-on-the-side, this has been a delight seing how characters have a free will of their own and occasionally pull out knives they were clearly carrying all along without my knowledge.

I gotta say I do appreciate this because “the marriage legally must be consummated” is one of my least favorite things ever, especially in fantasy/sci fi stuff where the setting is made up
