It was so good to see the video of Momotaro and Kintaro eating lots of fruit on the zoo's Instagram post this morning. Even better was getting to hear Kintaro talking to his father. Praying that these two continue their recovery. And that Genki and Gentaro stay healthy.
Poor Kinny tries to lay down as much as possible! His little pot belly is gone too. I’m glad they are trying with a bottle and he’s eating a little indoors. He looks so cute with his pursed lips!
So glad Gentaro is feeling better!! Sad to see the little one sick though. Wish all of them will get better!!! Nothing stops mom though lol she is enjoying all the food

It's so heartbreaking to see our normally active & impish little Kinnie so clingy & lethargic, with that mournful look on his face...Don't you wish you could just scoop him up in your arms, "baby" him all day, & show him how loved he is...Along with his big brother & parents who are also very much beloved....Prayers all will be well for this dear gorilla family very soon, & that Genki doesn't get sick as well...
It's good to know that Kintaro eats delicious food with his dad in the room and recovers little by little. I guess his lacko f energy outside it's due to the fact that he isn't in a mood for playing.

First relationship Genki ever had was with Momotaro's father, Biju. She had a miscarriage and lost grace with her husband. After losing her status, the other wifes were mean to her. Soon after, she began mutilating herself, and lost a tremendous amount of weight. She was sent back to Kyoto, the day Biju passed away. She recovered slowly with the help of her mother, Hiromi.
It’s funny cause Momo didn’t know how to mate so Genki had to get underneath him and show him! Lucky for Momo Genki is a girl with experience and we got two beautiful boys out of it!

Oh my! Baby Kintaro certainly makes an impact when he doesn't feel good. I'm used to his bouncing around, even when he clings tightly to mom Genki but what a difference, because he isn't clinging to his mom but he does follow her around; his not eating creates much concern. Mom Genki, always in her kindness, pulls him along with her which helps. Missing Papa Momotaro and Gentaro makes his own entrance.
After Momotaro's illness this time, the entire family members were affected because the gorillas are relatively like to humans. They are sensitive animals and emotions will affect their daily lives. As the father recovers, the zoo will also be closed (COVID-19) during this period to mid-September. 🙏🏻 Hope they get more rest and recovery time after closing.
