In your opinion, is there a moment you should just accept if you don't have the physicality to go pro? I'm a dancer, nearing the end of high school, been doing ballet for many years, but I still feel "behind" compared to other dancers my age. I'm very inflexible, can't even do the splits. I've been really working on it and I'm getting better, but I don't know if I can get there, or if I even have enough determination to get there since there are other things I would like to do with my life that I wouldn't mind doing instead.

Hey there- thank you for your comment! This is a great question. A career in ballet takes extreme dedication to the art. If you look at dance as something that you can’t live without and want to pursue as a career, I would say you need to start working smarter not harder. Find a good teacher who will take the time to work with you and get you where you need to be technically & artistically. They will help you be ready for the job.
The stretching is exactly what you need to do. Just stay consistent and you will see those results!
Also, know that it is okay to pursue your other interests. Use this time to your advantage. Explore your options and see which one makes you feel the happiest & most fulfilled. You will not always have the time you have now, so don’t be afraid to look around and see what’s out there!
But this is ultimately a decision based on you and the career you feel drawn to the most. I hope this helps- feel free to reach out if you need anything in the future.
We wish you all the best! Thank you for watching 😁
