Sri Lanka is such an awesome country. Very similar in landscape to South Indian state of Kerala. Sri Lanka is by far the cleanest south Asian country. Just can see by this video how clean it looks. Seriously I have traveled everywhere in the island and I loved it.

That crunchy think you thought was called dhal is actually one of the two types of wade called parippu wade (dhal wade). The other one is uludhu wade which is shaped kinda like a donut. One tip for when you try hoppers, have them made fresh (this is only possible around 6.30-7 pm)

SAKUN I have to disagree with you!! lots of people love to eat street foods thats something different than you can get from a hotel, its nice to meet some local people on streets and have a chat while you're eating its kinda cool thats what people love. Egg hoppers are made in the evening. Plain hoppers are made both in the evening and in the morning ...! Also they are prepared after ordering them
