yesssss!! this is the series i’ve been wanting to see more people do! i wanna get into new brands but am afraid of wasting my money on a polish with a bad formula! ty bestie!!!!
Nice picks. I totally agree - Dallas is hands down their best topper! I would buy a Rachelle, Shell, or Shelly polish in a heartbeat. Hope Zoya comes through for us someday!
I think Zoya is a great brand. I really started purchasing Zoya polish when I got pregnant and I still wanted my nails done but without the harsh chemicals. They finally got a color with my name and I immediately purchased it. I only wear it once a year because it's red but I had to have it in my collection!
I don’t have a ton of Zoya. But I do really like the colors & formula, as a whole. I’m always looking for suggestions to add more to my collection. My favorites, so far, are:: Rue (I was shocked that I loved this one so much), Honey, Pepper, Arbor, Foster & Birch. I will definitely be picking up Soko because I love reds & don’t have any from Zoya & Dove! I also have Debbie (my name), Kayleigh (my eldest daughter’s name) & Cory ( my youngest daughter is Kori). They’re all pretty colors, as well!
I had a similiar first impression of Zoya. I saw them being sold in a department store and all of the shades there were on the nude-pink-red spectrum, so I thought it was meant to be like a brand for people who only wear polish to work or for special occasions. It was only later that I realized how many cool finishes Zoya has and they really do have some of my favorite greens. I also love their scattered holos and metallic shimmer polishes. I do agree, though, that they are seriously lacking in terms of yellows. I've been waiting a mustard yellow from them for quite some time.
I totally forgot I have Eunice, so glad you reminded me about it, and that I need to pull it out and wear this fall! I think it is going to look ghoulish with my coloring but might work for Halloween ;) Zoya did a "Kimmy" but not a straight up Kim so I had to settle for that. Its an OK color - a red - which I wear maybe twice a year... I have so many of the light/mid toned blues, I went on a rampage last year and had to buy all-the-blues so I'll have to say that color is my favorite and Zoya has quite a few good ones.
Zoya HAD a Carrie Ann, and that's my first and middle name. It was part of a "Dancing With the Stars" collection and named for Carrie Ann Inauba. There's also a Carey, I think.
I like Zoya as a brand a lot. They have a great variety of colors and finishes, and their formulas give super coverage. Also, they have the wide brush option, which for me has become a deal breaker. I hate narrow brushes.
Keep searching for your name on their website; they'll create a polish with your name sooner or later; that's what I did last year and I would like to happily take credit for the polish named Cami, if they'd let me haha! I enjoy Zoya polishes and love Walker, Cami, of course, and all the ones in the holo line. You chose some great faves, like those green shades. TFS!
I really like these types of videos, I just checked Zoya and did find my names. My name is Grace Deborah Renee, so 2 out of 3 and I don't care for either one. I have about 50 Zoya's they were one of the first polishes I picked up when I got into this hobby in January. I too have put them on the back burner and been trying Indie polishes, I've picked up a few from destashes to try them out. I really enjoy your videos and enjoy how you let us into your life.
I just checked for my middle name too (Elizabeth) and still nothing! I can't catch a break hahaha. Thanks so much for watching I'm glad people enjoy hearing me drone on about my life lol
You had some fantastic choices! I have 663 Zoya alone, I kinda collect them now lol I started just with a few then because they have a smaller brush for my tiny nails I found it was easier for me to paint my nails with them, and so the obsession began lol you can ask them to add your name to their name wall, i sent them a whole bunch of names :)
I like Zoya a lot. I would agree it is a quality brand, I don't like the price increase but you're right they do a lot of nice sales. I usually hold out for the 70 % and then place a massive order to catch up on the ones I want. I have another large list happening.. Ugh lol! I need more remover (which is my favorite) and zbrushes I like those too. The pixies and holo are my favorite finish but they make great creams... I think I wore Jill to my interview too. I enjoy this video series. Thanks for sharing. 💕💖 They had a Michelle at one point but it's been long discontinued. 😢
Your description of Eunice is hilarious and so spot on! I put it on one night and took it off first thing in the morning because it just didn’t work with my skin tone. But it’s so pretty in the bottle! I think it will be great for vintage Christmas ornament stamping.
Ooh, favorite videos are always fun because I love hearing why someone loves a specific color, even if it's just because it's pretty or so ugly you have to love it. I haven't bought any Zoyas since the price hike but I do have a fair amount due to the sales. Alas, they don't have my name either. I will say that if they came out with my name, I might buy my first non-sale bottle, if it was spelled correctly! 😆
I was initially put off by zoya for same reasons. Also the bottles with big shoulders if you know what I mean. Bottle shape. I love Essie but am trying the wean off because they aren’t going cruelty free. I LOVE Eunice and don’t wear it. Just admire it :) same reason. Love your channel. You are relaxing the listen to. And thorough. Let me guess language … German?
I ordered Zoya all because of Eunice (as reviewed by Kelli Marissa 😅). My favourites are all darker colours though: Merredith (sparkly dark blue), Regina (dark emerald shimmer), Merida (dark emerald glitter), Juniper (dark teal pixie dust) and my top favorite Nisha (royal purple shimmer). I want more pixie dusts and that Dallas topper. As for my name: Tamara, I did look and it’s not there and I would definitely buy it regardless of the colour.
Hahaha Eunice seems to get a lot of people. I was just wearing a pixie dust recently! The one called Chyna, it looks like the red shoes from Wizard of Oz.
Zoya still has sales, but not like it was. No more 50% off with brush, or 70% off, that I have seen since they made some sort of change. The Z-wide is different(not as good) but at least they have a paddle brush for the new polishes. and They changed several things on the site. It gives me the feeling they changed hands? IDK. I have 73 Zoyas, But I've bought more than that. If I don't like a polish it goes. I really like gray too. It's a less boring neutral IMO. I have a good amount of them and taupes.
I have maybe 30 Zoya, love the holographic ones like Storm and Aurora. They just came out with Becca so that’s as close as they’ll get to my name probably.
@@MediocreManis I'm always looking out for that great night sky look. Storm was my first one that i imagined that way. Lately I've been getting magnetic ones that look like galaxies
I have a few Zoya but my collection is mostly indie due to my obsession with multichromes and holos. I'd buy a few bottles of a polish with my first name (Kira). I recently spent nearly $40 to get a bottle of Ethereal polish in an auction because it has my last name.
@@MediocreManis I'm at around 600 bottles of indies alone however for basic cream colors that I will use as a base color, to gradient with or to watermarble with I use China Glaze, OPI, Sally Hansen (to watermarble only) and Color Club. I recently redid my entire nail room so I could organize everything better.
Lol. As soon as you said your name was Hilary I was like "Oh... I know why they don't have that name..." but then you addressed it xD (Not that I agree that they shouldn't have that name in any capacity.) But if they gave it your spelling they might be able to bypass some side effects. My name is Stephanie and their "Steph" nail polish is soooooo boring :'( I think of names like mine as like... cheerleader names, if that makes sense (Tiffany, Brittany, Stephanie, etc...) so I'd love it if they made like a really girly polish with the full name... even though I'm goth, I really like loud and girly colors. I'll probably buy Steph eventually just to have it, though. Also, if you're into large, ogre-ly types, I can't recommend romancing the Iron Bull in Dragon Age Inquisition enough xD
Actually my name is spelled with 2 L's so exactly like Hillary Clinton hahaha. People constantly ask if I was named after her and they'll straight up tell me they hate my name becausw of her! I'm just like okayyyy whatever. Also omg Iron Bull is msssive haha
I love zoya and also ugly green shades.i still have yet to find Eunice but want to pick it up if not overpriced.have you seen the OPI shade here today Aragon tomorrow fabulous jelly dark rich green.its available on trans design great video you go girl
Eunice is definitely a fave! Zoya is having a promo right now if you spend $20 and use code 3FF you get 4 polishes for free! I looked up that OPI shade and it looks beautiful!
I like Zoya’s neutrals, tans and browns a lot. Also, Sainte is still a knockout. because they produce solid polishes and don’t do animal testing, they are my favorite mainstream brand.
Zoya definitely has so many beautiful polishes. Though, I always find their shipping sucks/takes forever. Have you experienced that? I ordered one of their big 3-in-1 removers and it took about 2 weeks. 0.0 Ok, I looked up my name on the Zoya website and there is one named after me...though, it's a very lackluster purple lol. I hope they somehow hear your plea and get you a polish with nice glitters in it! :) Who knows, maybe it'll be green? hehe
I can't get down with Zoya. I think their marketing is what makes them come off as a more conservative, boring brand. The additional cost for a wide brush is also not ok with me. The colors don't appeal to me and the summer neon collection was a complete farce 😬 Still fun to see your picks though!
Yeah, I think their marketing definitely holds them back! The wide brush costing $2 is insane to me. I think they should just keep stock of each color with both brushes and allow you to choose because if you like wide brushes that takes you to $14/polish after the price increase.
I actually own 230 Zoyas, collected over 7 years. However, I am so into indies and flakie polishes that I find I am not giving Zoya as much love. BTW, my name is not a Zoya polish either.
