Hello my dude, awesome video thanks for the simple and effective explanation. Question: if I have this manual switch installed how would I keep my glow plugs from automagically coming on like it does stock?

Well you wouldn’t! The whole problem I was having that this solved was that my glow plugs weren’t firing near long enough.
I’m having trouble envisioning when you’d want them to not fire automatically if possible, but I imagine this setup would still work if you unplugged the stock relay from the wiring harness and left the main power and load leads on. 🤔

@@Rips-And-Dips I'll have to fiddle with the wiring. I figured if I am planning to manually control my glow plugs I would go all the way; I don't really like redundant systems

Do you have more details on the solenoid that you used? I went to O'Reilly website and can't tell by looking what specific one you used. They all have four total posts, so I can see where the big wires go, but I cannot tell which post to connect the small wire from the switch that runs from the cab. Thank you!

Look up MasterPro Ignition 3 Terminal Relay/Solenoid on their site. Its the closest I could find.

      Part #: 2SS3 Line: MPI
I’m sure the other one I see mentioned will work as well 💯

Could i use a toggle switch instead of the button?

Wouldn’t recommend it as toggles present the opportunity to forget/bump them on and drain your battery and/or burn out your plugs.
But hey. You do you boo-boo! Electrically, it outta still work
