Thanks that was helpful. I'm currently using a process where I read a chapter, listen to the audiobook chapter while reading and then listen alone. It's really helping me aquire new vocab and also improve my listening skills
Listening to audiobooks to improve the target language while walking outside on a bright day works much better than working at a desk with a book and pencil. I think that walking has an effect that allows neurons to easily and naturally make connections between what we listen to as an audiobook in the target language and the knowledge we already have or have acquired.
I definitely enjoy reading a physical book while listening to the audiobook.

I’m so happy it was helpful! And that sounds like a fantastic process that you have going ☺️ I wish you the best of luck with your language learning!
0:21 as I'm understanding it the difference with passive learning vs shadowing includes the ability to play, act without other reward.
The problem with books (physical and audio) is finding books listed under comprehension levels.
Thank you ❤
