Not the best audio, but I actually really like this version because you get more of Axle's voice than what's on the Use Your Illusion version. I saw the other day on YT, Guns before they made it, playing in a little bar and people are like carrying on conversations while GnR is doing an acoustic version of Don't Cry and it was pretty cool. The audio isn't so hot on that one either, especially when you can hear people's murmurs and conversation. But I tell ya, check it out and that acoustic ballad version could have been bigger than Patience.
Don't Cry for the album Use Your Illusion was recorded by Axl together with Shannon Hoon from the band Blind Melon (and several other songs). This guy is also from Lafayette and he was kind of Axl's favorite. Blind Melon went on tour and performed with GN'R on the same stage. You can also see Shannon Hoon in the Don't Cry video. Take an interest in the creativity of Blind Melon, they are clearly underestimated. Hoon died of an overdose in 1995.
@@BornToBeALoner Thanks for the info Inna. Reading your post took me back to the Don't Cry video with Axle and Shannon Hoon singing on that extremely tall building. There is a GREAT documentary on Shannon Hoon I saw a few years ago that I remember really liking. So sad for him to pass on at such a young age especially with all the talent he had.
better than the cd version..its such a great ballad but the cd version is just too polished or over produced im not sure and i never did like the very ending of the cd version i thought that was very odd.
I love this demo version to much.

The actual version included on Rumbo tapes was even worse in audio quality and not in a lofi way its pretty much unlistenable
@@pichael6143 Thanks for the info pichael, appreciate it.
Is the same but in demo version he sings with breath voice
RAW!, nothing like the roots of something great,
Freaking Awesome!
My 4th favorite GN'R song!
Perfect voice
Me animo a decir que me gusta mucho más que la versión del album...excelente!!!!
Gnr forever , nothing else matters.
Beautiful!! Love this version
love izzys voiceover :)
Здорово 👍
Top,era pra remasterizar essa versão
First song GN'R wrote
Eu sempre preferi as versões acústicas de Dont Cry do que a versão final lançada.
this fucking rules! nothing else can be said
This is best.

his boyfriend was very sensitive. and ticklish
god damn watch your mouth!
what year was this recorded?
1985
B4 appetite for destruction
@@pichael6143 axl's voice sounds so much better than 1990
@@pacocaquinhasz that version was very produced
86
chorus +distortion
This demo should have been on the album instead of that useless shitty Alternative version.
I think it doesn't fit AFD and if they put it in GNR Lies it's gonna be acoustic
its on the CD single
Isso não é guns n'
Não é mesmo, eu acho que é Nirvana
Not a good version, too slow and doesn't sound like Axl's voice, hasn't got the passion.
Doesn't sound like Axl?
Hasn't got the passion?? WTF
It is Guns N' Roses in August 1985
This is Axl's voice from 1983-1985
Do you understand what a demo version is
Really Slow not Good sound
This stuff was made before they became famous. You can't expect the quality or sound to be good, especially if the demo is from the 80's
@@partyxplays it's actually made in 1985
This demo is made in 1985 and also there's a video with better audio of this
I assure you there's one with better audio. It's still standing in RUclips after 10 years. It's called Don't Cry demo 1987 but it's not made in 1987
@@gunsnrosesdefinition7672 exactly why they said the demo was in the 80s
fake
it is just not
It's 100% real. This was recorded before Appetite. It was floating around the bootleg tape traders in the late 1980's.
