  • On the 19th of July 2007, the Cancer Diseases Hospital opened in Lusaka, Zambia.
    Ten years on, over 16 000 people have been diagnosed and treated at the hospital.
    The IAEA, which supports the use of radiation medicine in its Member States, has assisted
    the hospital since planning began in 2002.
