I went outside to throw out food scraps. It is very very hot. I'm intolerant to heat because of Addison disease. I came back inside, and am enjoying watching you paint while I lounge on my bed. I'm basically not doing anything but letting you entertain me. And that's enjoyable to me!

Many long years ago my mom stained a piece of wood. Then she took the song "the Old Rugged Cross, burned the edges to make it look old. Then she decoupaged it to that piece of board. Ske put hardware on the back, so she could hang it on the wall. That was one of my favorite pieces of art we had.

Was so happy last night when I was watching RUclips on my TV. First thing I always do is look to see if there's anything new from Kayla. Yay! A glue book video. I've been glue booking since I was a little girl. My grandma and I glue booked together. I'm 60 now. 😁 I just love gluing pretty things into my glue books!

25:41 Thanks for dropping by was eating a late lunch. My husband is off from work so got him to take me to hobby lobby. They had art supplies on sale. I bought a large lap desk cheep , Bi-colored pencils The find touch,ergonomically.shaped, Also a pencil sharpener, and a pencil grip All of it on sale,40% off. These goodies were belated birthday. I am excited to try them all out. Plan to do word search too today and cook some fresh squash. Also some carrots in air fryer and a mug cake. Not sure I will do everything as I am quite tired but that’s my plan. I am in the same boat as you with getting words out and even the wrong words come out sometimes. I've never heard of a glue book. I can't wait to see what yours turns into. You are so creative and artistic. I have no special plans this weekend. You inspire me and I don't plan on making a glue book but that doesn't mean that I won't eventually. I laughed out loud when you said you were going to cut the heads of some of your paper dolls.
I'm colouring in a page in my 'miss positive' book again tonight. I just remembered I used to make 'art journals' about 20 years ago, I would draw, write and glue all sorts of things in them. I still have them and love flipping through, its like you get transported back to the time you made it. I like that as I can see just how far i've come. I regret not making more of them but I let my conditions take my joy. No more! I posted in the facebook group a gorgeous pink journaling bible I found in my local church, I will read and then journal over each page. Tomorrow I will go shopping for magazines to use in it, I cant wait!💗

Hi Miss Kayla! Got done with my ripple granny. I followed Fiber Spider's tutorial and I'm very happy on how it turned out. I used mostly yarn from my stash and also some Big Twist yarn. I need a palate cleanser so I'm crocheting socks following Briana K's tutorial. This weekend is devoted to yard work. I usually do yard work in the mornings before 11 am. After that, it's too hot. I do enjoy art journals, junk journals and altering books but I have never done a glue book. I look forward to watching you create yours!

I love watching all of the different crafts you are sharing with us. You are so creative. I love your attitude toward art - to play and have fun and see where it takes you.❤️. As far as watercolor goes, it makes a huge difference which paper you use. It is amazing how different it is. You can use cheaper brushes and even student grade paints, but the paper makes all the difference. Thanks for encouraging us to just do it and not worry about how it will turn out.😊

I would like to know how to do a glue book
I started a glue book years ago, of "Things That Make Me Smile", and put little cartoons or funny photos or sayings, etc. in it. I never finished it LOL but that would be something really fun. Those little ladies like the one with the teapot on her head would have definitely been in there.

You could ask your library if they could save their older magazines for you. I used to work at a library and did that for many patrons. We also saved newspapers for patrons that wanted them❤

Check your local library. Mine have sales of books, movies, and magazines every few months. The magazines are 10 cents.

I have been working on finishing up some WIPS had so many items started. Finished a shawl, and hexi cardigan. I am still working on cardigan, tank top and another shawl.

Hi Kayla I am crocheting I worked a little bit in my sticker book today I love your painting 🎨 and I remember the sticker book from when I was a young girl we used to cut pictures off the magazines and stick them in the books 📚 so yeah that's a lot of fun
Not doing nothing much listening to thunderstorms not doing nothing much else can't do nothin much we used to go to a fastfood restaurant every friday a different one every friday can't do that anymore with having to pay for Stupid Carbon Tax here in Canada Ugh Carbon Taxes suck wish we were living in the States cause yous don't pay Carbon Taxes oanyhow not doing nothing much for the weekend... Stores will be stocking up for back to school soon, which also means sales. They also tend to have things not available at other times.
Besides secondhand/thrift stores, libraries are a good source. Some have a small assortment always available, others do a weekly sale or have a big sale monthly. A dictionary is a good source for art, cut out definitions, and if you're lucky, there will be an illustration. Childrens books are also good, you never know what you'll see. If a book is in poor shape, it doesn't matter if you're taking it apart.
