Hi! Thanks for the good, thoughtful review! My husband is the game designer. :) Just a clarification on the permission rule. It’s not necessarily to ask for permission to close another person’s ring because you’re right, there would be no point or benefit to doing that. But it’s there because sometimes you are building your ring in close proximity to someone else and you need a tile to finish your ring, but their ring is in the way. You can use one of the tiles with two paths on it to continue your ring. One path will help with your ring, but the other path will add to your neighbor’s ring. Most often, it benefits you both and the other person will agree. But you can’t mess with their ring without permission. These are polite little gnomes!
Thanks for the response. I haven’t ever played a game where I needed to ask for permission so I was struggling to understand the purpose. This really does help. I didn’t think of a scenario like that.
