Arc Lighter for camping, bushcraft, survival? Electric lighter campfire?

Testing out an arc lighter outdoors. Wanted to be positive however have to admit it is not as good as a jet lighter or indeed a standerd lighter; on the other hand, it is an interesting gadget and does not require fuel just recharging. If charge-able from a portable solar panel then it might be good for long term survival?
