That realy looks like a big step up for the jump gates. The tunnel looks far more entertaining and the transitions in and out looked very good too. And what I liked the most, the light at the end of the tunnel seems to be less harsh.
This is an improvement over the cylindrical tunnel by leaps and bounds! Far more interesting, with potential to become more dangerous as well. Now, I just wish for the shape of the tunnel to become truly dynamic, contorting as you go through it, and would be unique each time you go through it. For now, this is already fantastic! I can only imagine how this ultimately ends up!
I like the 'submarine at depth' sounds of the hull compressing, creaking, groaning and twisting from the gravitational forces. Adds a real nice realistic ambiance.
If there is anything you can give SC credit for is how beautiful the game looks. You might have your gripes in other areas as far as numerous delays, put on the shelf features, and bugs, but no one can deny how good this game looks.

But she also always says it is stunningly beautiful - and for all the problems we sometimes have to endure together she always enjoys flying with me.

most likely no, at best we will see wave 3 maybe open if we are lucky, I expect this week by end of the week to maybe see a wave 2 with now a bit under 3 weeks left it is unlikely and by this point they would have probably confirmed if they were comfortable for release by end of year.
I'd like to see the 'funnel' obstacles forming and dissapating before your eyes, growing and shrinking, connecting and dissolving like they were active tunnel tornados or something. More difficult sure but much more oganic and live.
I went for Stanton to Pyro in a Pisces. When I got to Pyro, I did not have enough QT fuel to go to any of the planets, and when I tried to refuel at the jump station, it was not working, so decided to jump back to Stanton and could not refuel there either. Got to love alpha testing.
I wonder how that’s gonna look if you decide to jump a fleet of ships together. Also seeing that line that you gotta follow makes me think one day there will be branches inside the tunnel for us to follow and discover to find new locations using the navigational tools for the exploration game play
Damn I seen you sitting there waiting to enter the JP, if you had entered a bit sooner, you would've been alongside my hornet, a Polaris and another guy, and it was pretty flawless with all of us flying through it, very cinematic.
That second jump with the other ships in front was absolutely perfect. Could you upload a few jumps with nothing but in game music and sounds, no commentary?
This patch I started on the Stanton side cause I heard it was more successful. I got to the jump point just as it was closing, and it never stopped closing.
This was pretty good. I love that foxy shows the bad bits not just the good (unlike most white knight streamers) although wormhole should have highest DPS as there is so little to render. Just ships and inside of tube. No buildings, no stations, no hangars, no lasers or ballistics.
This looks just like the wormholes i usually go through very nice ... i would swear i've heard it was thmoos from Pyro, but then it was perfetly smooth on way back, I'm from Europe and that's usually what happens to me 😁
It looks awesome...question, you are in control over your ship when fly through the worm hole? or it flies by it self? What happens if you crash with other ship or those distortion bridges?
Have you actually confirmed the transfer between servers happens when the tunnel switches between Stanton and Pyro? I’m curious because the transfer happened immediately upon entering the tunnel in the tests earlier this year.
Wow how many players were on the servers? And how well does the jump work with other people on your ship? And how many players on your ship can go without it failing?
So you dont actually come out of the worm hole? it seems to drop you in a random spot in the vicinity of the other sides wormhole. I guess this allows 2 way traffic. Had not thought about it before...
Once again many thanks! I remember CIG mentioning that to avoid ganking ships exiting a wormhole will arrive in different locations. Do you get a sense that this is happening? I only ask as I noticed that you seem to have arrived in the same location as were the other ships that had entered the wormhole separately and just before you. Keep up the great effort!

the tunnel being assymetric and folding in front of you is definitely more adventurous. Like it too.

I don't know guys. That ring has an order to its shape. Watch it again at .25 speed. There appears to be crenelations and other design features.

Maybe static if you go all the way through? I've seen people hit the wall near the end of the wormhole end up somewhere quite random
It definitely was last EPTU patch, you would get shot out who knows where. It does seem like the exit point are A LOT closer to the gate
