I am truly blessed as always and thankyou Pastor David for this beautiful message on how The Lord God Holy Spirit helps us to pray. In times when I don't have the ability to pray but I want to, The Holy Spirit gives a song into my heart and I just worship Him for as long as He leads me and I would just praise and worship The Lord and then strength would come to me and I would pray and spend time in that Father-daughter conversation. I love the worship I'm being led to during those moments.

I was raised Catholic went to Catholic grammar school and high school. My teachers were Notre Dame Nuns. I used say my evening prayer before going to bed. After discovering you on Facebook, I have learned so much from listening to you. Thank you for opening my mind and heart. Now when I go out to go shopping or walking, I constantly say prayers to avoid the pain in my knees. I used to think that if you pray too much that I was bothering Jesus. That's the Catholic school mentality or upbringing. I never knew I could have a deep relationship with Jesus. I thank Jesus and the Holy Spirit every day and night. Going back to January this year I woke up one morning and it felt as though God had left me, the feeling was like a heavy darkness had entered my soul, the anxiety and stress I felt was like a sickness in the pit of my stomach, I didn't have the energy to talk or to smile, I even started to have thoughts of suicide ( which I haven't had for over 40 years). I started to think of ways to end it all!. Then one day I picked up the Bible and started to read the book of Psalms and Proverbs!. Why? Well the book of Psalms is of prayer and the book of Proverbs is a bout wisdom. As I was finishing reading Psalm 25 and turning the page I saw the word's YOU ARE MY ROCK; I instantly closed the Bible and started to write this Prayer that came into my mind.
O' LORD, my rock, have mercy on my soul, do not be silent to me. I have grieved You in a way, only You can forgive!. My heart, soul, and body aches for Your love, guidance, and compassion. I have lost a friend, teacher, and confidant. The one, and only one who knows the true me, You made me smile when I was sad. You showed me true joy when I didn't expect it.
Your Love lifted me out of the darkness. I ask that You show me mercy, and take my hand and lift me out of this darkness, that I have caused.
LORD GOD; You have the power of life and death. No one is greater than You!
My heart belongs to You, do with it as You wish.
For I am at Your mercy

Soon after reading this Prayer out loud I felt the heaviness lifting and the next morning I was smiling!

I love this! I watched this video before and used this advice to ask the Holy Spirit to guide me and keep me in alignment with Jesus & Gods will. Plus at times at times to fill my words for my prayers. I’ve heard myself saying things that I would never say. I had to stop myself in the middle of one prayer to repeat what I said because I was in complete shock with the words that came out of my mouth. I started crying tears of joy that God viewed me in the way my words just described. Something I would have never claimed on my own. I had 2 more affirmations to confirm what was said. But, it all started with allowing the Holy Spirit to speak through me during my prayer.
I use encounter tv’s recommendations constantly to help my relationship & growth with God. I thank you Heavenly Father for putting this ministry in my path and utilizing Mr. Hernandez to share this with others while keeping him so humble in everything he does. 🙏

I've had these dreams when some gentle sweet gentleman is telling me, " Joy ask me to teach you how to pray" and in those times I would pray haphazardly but when I realized that it's the holy spirit, I audibly asked Him to help me and teach me to pray and my prayer life has changed and I enjoy prayer.
He gives the desire,the words,the attention to pray and when I pray, scripture keeps popping up in reference to the particular prayer point.
Surely, the holy spirit is our close partner in committing crime in the devil's kingdom 🥰🥰 I really appreciate the work of the Holy spirit. Even scripture makes deeper meaning now than before.

Well Pastor, since you asked, some of the other ways that the Holy Spirit helps me pray are by clearing my mind, leading me into uncharted visions, energizing my body, sustaining me with patience, and giving me a thirst for worship music. Here are some examples:
Clearing my mind
When I was working on my Master's of Management degree, there would be times when I did not feel like doing homework or online discussions. Therefore, I would instead pray in tongues for 30 minutes or more before I started the assignments. By the time I got to the assignments, I would have to go back and take out words and sentences because I always super succeed the suggested word count and page limit. The Holy Spirit would load me up with so much information and lead me to find all kinds of sources, references, and examples to use in my work that I did not know where to stop. Altogether, I never had to worry about writer's block because my mind was wide open by the time I had got done praying in tongues.
Uncharted visions
Whenever I pray in tongues just to worship God with no other particular reason in mind, I come into bright ideas and uncharted visions. I find myself on multiple occasions having to grab my smartphone or a sheet of paper to jot down the ideas going through my head. I once heard somebody tell me that I may actually be getting the interpretation of what I am praying while I am praying in tongues. If so, this is really cool!
Energizing my body
One of the best things about the visions that come along while praying in tongues is how I get encouraged. The scripture that comes to mind is as follows:
"Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves..." 1st Corinthians 14:4
This is so true for me. I used to suffer from boredom and simply go out and spend money, indulge in gluttony, or other sinful acts that I will not mention for the sake of younger readers. But, praying in tongues definitely gave me not only an alternative to sin, but respectfully a new hobby.
Sustaining me with patience
As we are talking about how the Holy Spirit helps us pray, even praying in clear English is beneficial with the Holy Spirit's aid for me. While praying in English, I will talk to God as if He is a therapist, because truly He already knows everything. As I begin to lay out my problems and feelings, there are multiple occasions where I have found out why I was experiencing such things. The Holy Spirit helped me to be patient in the trial and also encouraged me to understand that God is with me through it all.
Thirst for worship music
After a good session a prayer or whenever I get a rhema word, I feel an urge to cut on some praise and worship music. It is almost like having my favorite food and then wanting my favorite drink to accompany the meal. The word that I get in prayer is the food or bread of life, and the worship song is the drink to wash everything down. The Holy Spirit also works the opposite way where I may be singing a worship song and then have an urge to go read scripture. The best way to describe it is as if I was having one of my favorite drinks and wanted a snack to go with it.
As you can see, the Holy Spirit is definitely the best aid whenever I pray. I am so glad that you made this video as I never even really considered these matters until you brought it up.
