Definitely a more important thing to be said for girls, as guys are less likely to be pushed into something by another individual. However, society still has a heavy stigma around virginity that applies to us guys as well. Because of this, lots of guys feel rushed to lose their virginity and start having relationships and sex, which can often lead to them getting into unhealthy relationships, making mistakes, and ruining their experience and their personal relationship with their own sexuality. Not important here, but I (17m) am yet to meet someone with which I've chosen to start a relationship, let alone consider losing my virginity, and my masculinity is not near fragile enough for that fact to bother me, because right now I'm working on myself, and sometime later I can let someone else in on this 17 year work in progress that is the person I've become, and am becoming... (Yes, I'm long-winded as anything.. sorry 🙃)
The only I thing I would mention about the whole “they’re ready for sex & I’m not” is, don’t make yourself do it, you’ll know if you’re ready or not. If they can’t accept you’re not ready, they’re not worth it.
Definitely never do anything you're uncomfortable with, but also keep in mind the other perspective as if you were the one who was ready. Not in a way that makes you feel rushed to do anything, just so that you realize what exactly they are experiencing and so that you can better explain yourself and not just have it seem like you're leading them on and then not following through all the time. I don't know if that made sense, but basically just don't do anything you're uncomfortable with, and be transparent about it, so that they understand your side. Cause if you can't trust your partner enough to be vulnerable to the extent of complete uncensored honesty, then you should not be anywhere close to healthy enough in that relationship to even begin considering taking that leap and making that decision. Communication is the best, and sometimes the only, way that we can really all get along and coexist in a healthy manner, especially in relationships.
PSA: Generally having sex should NOT hurt, including the first time! The reason some people may have a painful experience is that they're nervous, they might not get sufficiently aroused, they might tense up, etc. These things can make it hurt regardless of whether it's the first time or the thousandth time. If you take your time, relax, go slow and engage in LOTS of foreplay so that you're VERY aroused beforehand, that will help a lot!! EDIT: There are, however, medical conditions that can make sex painful. If you are having a problem with consistently painful sex despite being extremely aroused and fully relaxed, you should talk to a doctor.
As a guy this was actually really informative because it gives you insight into the fact that girls have all these questions as well and are worried about all these things same as us. You both are amazing role models and are amazing for answering all these questions! ❤️
Honestly this video was actually so helpful and wasn’t uncomfortable to watch, your honestly who I want to be and who I look up too. All hail queen Freya x
15:29 I would agree with this. Girls, when a boy likes you he will look at you a lot because he thinks that you're pretty and he can't take his eyes of you. He will indeed comment on your hair, clothes and maybe even your makeup if he feels confident. And don't forget he will really try to make you laugh and get you to like him. A lot of smiling comes with it girls. DISCLAIMER: I do wanna say that this does not mean that ALL guys do this. Some guys are really shy and won't comment on anything. Eventhough he hasn't commented on anything doesn't mean he doesn't like you. Look at the signs :).
Honestly, it also gives a good view of the "other side" and what happens on the other side of the curtain that girls will inevitably always refuse to tell guys about, so that we can more effectively not only be good partners or friends to them, but also just help us understand and coexist in society... Vids like this on both sides are very good windows into the understanding that we are all just people, and we all have stress, and nerves, and none of us really have it all figured out. The actual differences between people that come directly from their gender identity or sex are so incredibly minute and trivial compared to all of the experiences and traits that are shared.
i’m so glad you made this type of video!! i think girls should upload these videos more often, because i’m sure tons of women have questions like these that want answered!! also, a lot of the questions i’ve had for a while, have been answered because of you guys. now i feel a lot better about myself, so thank you💓 edit: well. freya did like my comment, but i edited it and the heart went away :( but those 15 seconds were so amazing😭
Definitely a beneficial type of video to make in both sides of the fence... Take it from me, us guys are not good at asking awkward questions, and tend to be left in the dark on a lot of things, so having this type of video for both guys and gals is very helpful insight. Guys who grow up with a sad who's alive might learn more of this stuff during their childhood, but without, channels like Alpha M, and videos in this type of format are very key
I hope your're not too rare, can only be a productive thing - but good for you anyway. I would do the same if it was made by creators I like.....i'd actually be quite interested to see a bit of YT sex ed aimed at guys in this sort of style...it's kind of impossible to imagine without Callux now since he was in the previous video with Freya.
This was absolutely awesome, great video! SO nice hearing other girls talking about these things, not just health professionals etc but actual real, sound people being honest about it
i am absolutely delighted to know this video is not clickbait and it delivers so well , usually these kinds of videos are just way boring than what the title claims.
Thank you Freya, for this series. These topics are important to discuss openly and without judgement. Can I also add tho, please do not let anyone force you or make you feel bad for not shaving your pubes. It is your choice. If you'd like more insight on this topic, you can watch a documentary on All 4 for the next 16 days called 'Bring back the bush'.
I'm 16 and literally everyone I talk to pretty much has lost their virginity and I have never even had a boyfriend and have got bad mental health due to school. This video made me feel so much better. Thank you 💕
Cool video. I respect you for being able to talk about these things so freely. It's nothing embarring at the end of the day and many people have no to talk to about these type of things
I remember my ex was completely shocked when she mentioned something about period sex and I said okay. She was sure I'd be grossed out and say hell no or something, and I was just like, "It's blood. I've seen blood before. I've bled before. It doesn't bother me." But yeah, definitely put a towel down. (Also, she claimed it helped relieve her cramps; I don't know if that's true for everyone, but it's something to consider.)
I went out with some friends of friends yesterday I barely said a thing I just didn’t know what to say for some reason I just couldn’t join in on conversation or be physical with anyone like my friends were with their friends, it was the first time I met them but I just felt really out of place and shouldn’t be there, the most annoying thing is that I really wanted to join in on conversation but my mind was blank and didn’t know what to say, I used to be so good around people I didn’t know before quarantine, I just haven’t been socialising at all during quarantine - and to make it worse I hadn’t been going outside much and it was at the beach and my skin was just so white and I felt so self conscious and awful about myself. So I ask how do I get back into my old social life and interact with the friends or friends I met up with because I did want to be friends with them.
Title sounds clickbait, but you would be surprised how many good tips and general knowledge is present in that video. With Cal there was some as well, but here its even greater.

Ok, so the one thing to add to all of this, which they did touch on a bit, is that there is really no difference between girls and guys on most of these things... We are the least subtle fuckers around, and we aren't trying to keep it under wraps... We're just trying as hard as we can to get you to notice we're into you without saying out loud to where it causes awkwardness and/or kills the possibility of friendship. (British guys might be a different story (I'm American) but for the most part it should be similar.) If a guy is going out of his way to spend time with you, looking for excuses to start a conversation with you, or just tends to pay more attention to you than other around, chances are really fuckin high that he's into you. I also feel that guys are a bit less selective in who they are open to the possibility of talking to and developing an attraction for (which girls seem to think means we're shallow, but I think just the opposite, logically). One last note, cause I know my long-winded ass has waffled on for far too long, I am bi, and that may impact how these matters are to me, but I'm a pretty conventionally masculine guy(unfortunate as that is), so I think not.
I had a guy friend ask me out. We had known each other since we were 5. I told him that I valued his friendship and didn't want to ruin that because I had just gotten out of an abusive relationship and was not where I needed to be mentally. He never spoke to me after that day. :(
