Thank you for this tutorial. I did the buckyball without any problem. I used these two sizes: 7,5 cms x 5 cms for the big ones and 7,5 cms x 4,8 cms for the smaller ones. I used two colours for an easier way to ensamble the pieces. My only problems was the quality of paper. The normal origami paper is not suitable for these modular objects. It means that I used a few drops of glue for a more consistent object

If you want to make the segments easier: For the smaller design (the black one): Take a regular sheet of US Printer paper. For the 60 segments, remove a centimeter from the long side. And split it into 8ths lengthwise and 4ths width wise. For the 30 segments, take a centimeter off lengthwise, then fold it into a fan in 4ths width-wise. Then measure 3.35 centimeters, then make a fan of 8 segments and cut off the rest. You’ll be left with 64 larger ones and 32 shorter ones. :)

Thanks for the tips for US papers. I do use different paper, which is A4.

Do mean remove a centimenter from the short side because removing a centimeter from the long side gives 5 x 3.7 cm for the 60 segments?

Master, please, are both models in video without one drop of glue? And thanks for nice video.

The smallest buckyball is a truncated tetrahedron, easier to make than this, triangular and hexagonal sides

Hi, I did not show the complete assembly because the assembly of regular polyhedron is the same for all. In fact, if I show everything, it will cause confusion on the orientation. I would suggest you it do some inspection on the model you assembled halfway, and decide next on what to assemble based on the first map.

As I used to colours it was easy to ensamble taking into account that a pentagon is sorrounded by 5 hexagons
