RIP Tommy. Was at that game. I was born a Tim but your style of football cemented it. I hope we see the Celtic way again

I've been following Celtic for over 20 years now, and of all the seasons we didn't win the league this was the season I was most gutted about. We played so much great football with exciting flair players as well as great players who knew what it meant it to play for Celtic. Probably the pinnacle was this game. I loved that team.

McKinlay was one of the best left-backs we ever had! Was a winged-wizard that night...remember watching it on Socttish Tv that night...what a game! Then Cadete came on and scored!!!!

This was the Tosh McKinley show that night. He ran the game that night. Cadete's goal was the icing on the cake!

Great goals but Tosh McKinlay, what an underrated player. Pinpoint crosses from the left and could beat a man (or three) as well.

The football we played that season was scintillating. We just needed a better keeper & a more solid centre half. Awesome game Vs Aberdeen. A Celtic team that epitomised playing the Celtic way.

Perhaps in terms of passing and movement when everything went to plan, mate, but they were nowhere near as good as O'Neill's team between 2000 and 2004.

I thought Aberdeen were the better team that night, but only some dodgy refereeing and a couple of flukes got Celtic the win.

God, no. Love TB, and will be happy to see him sainted one day, but despite the "sexy football" he won a Scottish Cup and nothing else. I don't think he coped all that well with the p*sh from the press and the hassle that went with the job, either, so for Tommy's sake and ours, I'm happy for him to continue as a coach. I know many will disagree, though.

Cadete has survived with the help of his old mother and a social insertion income a little rent paid by the state to the poor people of 190 Euros that has been already suspended...life fucking stinks...
