I started collecting for 360 last year and I already have most of what I want for the system, including some of the entries here. It was surprisingly easy compared to other consoles due to availability and lower prices.
One of the most affordable consoles to collect for!
true, now is the perfect time to collect for the 360, especially now that the store is closing down next year
same thing for the PS3 and Wii as well
What games did you get so far? I need some good ideas for new games to buy
I got to work collecting for the PS3 in 2019 and I'm happy for the most part.
My friend on the otherhand already had a 360, and started to collect for it.
He says it's difficult and there's a lot more PS3 games being sold in secondhand stores.
Also PS3 discs are more resilient against scrathes.
I have only have a handful of 360 games, and those are ones that are backwards compatible or delisted that I missed out on.
Love Xbox 360 for the fact that you can still find decent games/hidden gems under $8-$10 each. The AVERAGE (not best, AVERAGE) Gamecube/PS2 game is $16+
So many great under appreciated games!
You say that but Operation Darkness is a $100 game 😂
the 360 truly felt like the greatest console ever at one point.
It still is the greatest console of all time
As much as I like the Wii and PS3, the Xbox 360 was arguably the best the generation had to offer.
Back when Xbox knew what they were doing. Peter Moore did wonders for them.
It's a shame how underwhelming Microsoft's more recent consoles are compared to the 360. I really felt like Microsoft peaked during that generation and they really cared about game development more so than they do now. The state of Halo as a franchise is really a microcosm of Microsoft as a video game publisher
The original Xbox and 360 were Microsoft at their best!
Xbox 360 years were the best for Microsoft. I was pretty much an Xbot fanboy back then. Now? Except for the neat backwards compatibility system they have abandoned, they just feel like they've given up.
Halo especially is in a terrible place. Bungie>>>>343I.
@@Gruntvc it really did go downhill after they announced Xbox One. Besides the stupid f$#&ing name, the forced Kinect functionality and needing Internet to play everything, they tried to make it impossible to share used games and placed too much emphasis on the system being an all in one entertainment system. Microsoft handed Sony that generation on a silver platter and the ripple effects of that E3 still resonate today. That's when Microsoft died in the world of gaming
Gaming isn't Microsoft's way of making money. It's their side project.
@@ehrenloudermilk1053 Right I agree with you. But that didn't stop them from giving a damn when they released the OG Xbox and 360
Blur was alright, but I personally preferred Split/Second over the former. It was a completely different style of game, but it scratched an itch that I didn't know I had. I would also recommend these other games:
-Shadows of the Damned
-Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard
-Bulletstorm
-Two Worlds/Two Worlds II
-Vanquish
-Singularity
-Dance Central
-The Gunstringer
I remember Split/Second being the better single player game and Blur having the better multiplayer.
A few of these have been remastered and I recommend you buy the remaster
Burnout 😉
Despite being low budget, rushed and slightly repetitive, Bullet Witch is one of those games that aims for it to be ambitious it's scope and creativity in it's main premise that you don't see often in the Tripe AAA scene.
Was such a fun game to make my way through! Had such a good time.
So glad you haven't burned out and stopped making videos. Your reiews are so good, man. Keep it up and cheers from Kansas!
More on the way 🙂
Nice list, I'm definitely going to check out Bullet Witch at some point.
Love the fact that Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga is on this list. Its my all time favourite game (yes I have very particular tastes). Very underrated imo.
Sorry Bullet Witch, you might have to wait while I finish another Divinity 2 DKS playthrough...
Awesome list man. Ive been trying to get my hands on Operation Darkness for a while. Also fun to note that Tenchu Z was developed by From Software
I played & loved quite a few of the games mentioned here! If I could suggest a few for future parts:
Wet
Killer Is Dead
Lollipop Chainsaw
Shadows of the Damned
Lazy Raiders
Charlie Murder
Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad
Split Second
Ancients of Ooga
Cloning Clyde
Thanks for the suggestions!
Another great video! I hope your channel continues to grow
Man, Tenchu Z is such a good game! It is such a shame it never made into the next generations of console and PC gaming.
I've never heard of velvet assassin before. Looks interesting and worth a play.
Looked it up and found a few examples for sale. The cover looks rather dull, but it looks like something I've seen before.
Xbox 360 and PS3 games are still so damn beautiful. I love that generation
Tenchu Z was so good! 😁
like for mentioning Tenchu Z, this game in particular had the BEST executions in all the saga AND , if you put a close eye into it, you will realise that ALL executions are a remake of the classic ones from Riki, Ayame and Tatsumaru from all the saga, e.g backstab is a remake execution of tatsumaru's backstab from tenchu 2, the one from the left is a revised version of Rikimaru's, the one you do while crouching using your knees and body gravity to pull the enemy down? ayame's high execution, the one from the corner that you grab their wrist , do an aikido flip and stab their stomach is the original frontal execution from Tenchu 1 (rikimaru) where enemy would do a goofy flip after gettin stabbed.
Even the flashy stealth combo has some kicks straight from Tatsumaru's style
Such a shame it didn’t get the love it deserved!
Great selection of rarer Xbox360 games. Games that you do not see so often.
My choice for a 360 hidden gem would be Too Human. It's a bit clunky and rough around the edges but overall a good RPG. I enjoyed the time spent with it.
As soon as this one showed up, I was waiting for Tenchu Z. I was not disappointed haha
I love Tenchu Z. I wish they made a proper reboot. Sekiro is fine and all but I want the classic formula & Stages.
I always enjoyed Tenchu Z, and still do 👍🏻
It's fun to make onigiri on the field of battle 😄
There are also furry mascot heads 😂
Bulletwitch! It was Bayonetta with a better camera system.
Split second is a good racing game as well on the 360 its kinda like blur without the powerups but instead you get destructible environments to attack your rivals with.
Loved that game! I played the PSP version when it first came out. Gotta go back and give it a go on the 360.
Hyped for this, an Original Xbox hidden gem would go crazy too
there's an X360 game I recently heard of called "Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom", I personally haven't played it yet, but from what I've seen, it does seem to be a hidden gem, so it might be worth checking out for part 2
that game is also on the PS3 btw
Thanks for the tip!
360 is GREAT. But I already lost two of the with a Red dot/Ring of deathm
Been of fan of your channel for a while, keep up the good work😊❤
I appreciate that!
I wonder if they're goign to remake/reboot magna carta eventually
I remember buying inversion on launch day, and absolutely loving it! Decent game! What's the opening track? Been racking my brains, convinced it's streets of rage 2 🤷🏻♂️🤔
Tekken 2! 🙂
My man, a truly fantastic list, played most of them and really enjoyed them Velvet Assassin and Front Mission Evolved not getting sequels is so disappointing, looking forward to part 2 to see your next list and considering playing Blur, Magna Carter 2 and Operation Darkness
Not sure of it counts, as it had a PC release too, but Grey Matter for the 360 was an great point and click adventure game that I never see anyone talking about. Great video, Divinity II and Velvet definitely have me curious.
Deffo check out Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga. It happens to be forwards compatible with the later Xbox consoles too, and on steam if you prefer that platform.
It's actually my favourite game, but I don't want to oversell it as it does have janky moments.
Your right on point. If these games were on game pass and being talked about.
Would love to see them on Gamepass!
velvet assassin looks great!
What about Baten Kaitos and Enchanted Arms?
I have like four of these. Gonna get Front Missions Evolved
Hope you enjoy it!
This channels recommendations slowed my computer down and I mean that is the best way! 👌
😅 I’m sorry!
@@thatvideogamesshow Massive thanks. It's what bros do.
3:48 ennemy AI is stuck midair and still trying to kill you, that's nice AI.
No Lost Odyssey? No Enchanted Arms? Not even Ninja Blade? These were definitely missing.
360 is awesome. Sometimes worth putting down the DS for it.
Velvet Assassin was neat, definitely not as good as MGS or Splinter Cell, but fun for what it was. Legendary was another decent forgotten game released on Xbox 360 around that time too.
Operation Darkness looks neat. Love combining WW2 with paranormal/Sci-fi elements like Return to Castle Wolfenstein did too.
It is a travesty we haven't gotten a new Tenchu game since Tenchu Z. Not even a remaster or remake for Tenchu Stealth Assassins PS1. Dang shame.
Xbox 360 was Peak gaming
Was such a good console!
While I know what you mean, Magna Carta on PS2 wasn't the original. That honor goes to Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche on Windows which was never released outside Korea.
Thanks for the correction man 🙂
Make more x360 man , i still play this day😅
Great video. I love the Xbox 360 and it's library, so many fun games for the console. This is just my opinion, but the Xbox 360 was the best console of the 7th generation and Microsoft has been going downhill fast with the likes of the Xbox One and Xbox one Xbox X.
why magna carta 2 isnt backwards compatible is beyond me >:0
Dam I have always leaned more to PS3 over XBox 360, but these titles are making me think I should try XBox. Magna Carter 2 was definitely on my list as it seems to be an exclusive but that price....
It’s well worth trying them out, especially Magna Carta!
Blur was cool...
I had bullet witch
The animations on that Tenchu game look jank af
Where were you when I had my Xbox 360?
Interesting... I don't like Microsoft consoles, but I admit 360 had good games... I check it out those games later.
Thankfully some of these are on PC.
What kind of Xbox is this?
The good one
Evolve is bad, Darkness is bad.
Call this a xbox hidden gem is a bit wrong when including games available at PlayStation aswell.
So this is a bummer
lol Velvet Assassin was a really mediocre game with unploished gameplay and Inversion was a generic cover shooter with a weak gimmick
Blur definitely was underrated though
Microsofts Genesis
Every game looks gray and brown 😂
operation darkness is a seriously fun game, ridiculous premise and ugly graphics aside.
Your mom is a hidden gem
This guys voice kills me urk
TenchuZ was garbage. The worst game of the series. The levels were really bland and I’m sure a lot were reused (or very samey)
Inversion definitely doesn't look like a straight up Gears of War ripoff. No sir.
it's not. You should try it
Haha I know right? The weapon selection is the same and shooting that main gun seems to have the same insane recoil as the retro lancer in Gears. Still, could be a fun game though. Never played it myself.
Since when did the 360 have games worth playing?
since it launched
@@codezero7981 You lie
Now tell me the name of the thumbnail girl from which game ?
Magna Carta 2
Good to see some Xbox 360 coverage as I'm a fan of their hidden gem titles like Dark Sector, Jericho, and Singularity. *Gives a 👍 *
More in the works 🙂
Dark Sector and Jericho are on PS3 as well. They're not really 360-exclusive.
@@justdev8965 So is Blur and Syndicate if I remember correctly.
However, the 360 ports are mostly 1080p whereas the PS3 often used 720p resolution.
lost odysse , blue dragon, naruto rise of ninja, witcher 2 are amazing games for the 360 system 😁
Infinite Undiscovery is a stellar one too.
Glad to see that Velvet Assassin gets some attention! Currently playing it and it's punishing at first but once you overcome that it's a great game!
I’ll second that!
Wait until you get to the last levels, the gunplay is truly awful.I liked the atmosphere, and the hints that it might all just be some morphine-induced dream, but it couldn't stick the landing.
@@MrNegativecreep07upgrade your stats with the last level in mind.
I've heard Alan Wake has a similar vibe as Twin Peaks, and for that reason I've always wanted to play it. Great list!
Love me some Alan Wake! Can’t wait for the sequel.
Yeah it was free on psplus recently!
It's... a good game. I think I was a bit spoiled by it cause people kept talking about how similar tonsilent hill it was. I didn't get those vibes and felt disappointed. But now I'm over the lil disappointment I'll start it again
@@OGM_OriginalGameMusic ill definitely check it out. I liked Control and I believe those are in the same universe
@@OGM_OriginalGameMusicunless your mom pays for ps+ it ain’t free
The 360 definitely was the best console Microsoft will have ever put out.
Until the Series X 💥
@@Enigmalake Nope. The 360 has more exclusives than the Xbox One, Series X and PS5 combined.
Heck, the Virtual Boy has more exclusives right now than the current gen Xbox and PlayStation, Gamepass is the sole reason to own one at the moment, it's the ONE generation where I've yet to buy any console. (I've always bought consoles despite owning a PC since the Mega Drive generation, it's painful to see how little they do to make us want one these days.
Velvet Assassin looks REALLY cool! I’ll need to give that one a look one day. Blur is definitely a game I need to spend more time with. I remember getting it for my PS3 alongside Split/Second, but Split/Second had my full attention (such a brilliant game). Bullet Witch also seems like mindless fun, and my kind of game lol. Awesome video as always man!
Glad you found something new mate 🙂
You should take a look at Over G Fighters.
It's the sequel of the Energy Airforce games and this one is 360 exclusive.
It's the closest thing to a modern combat flight sim on console.
Thanks for the tip, I’ll check it out!
Nice list will definitely try some of them. Inversion and Bullet Witch caught my eyes.
Hope you enjoy them!
Love seeing some Xbox 360 content! It's very sad that many good 360 games never got released in PAL countries and aren´t region free, games like: Operation Darkness, Spectral Force 3, Culdcept Saga...
Front Mission Evolved was a lot of fun! Especially if you’re into mecha anime. The boss fights can be challenging at times. I always found it funny how they would introduce themselves being exposed with their cockpit hatch open. I’ve had several hard fights where I thought: game should’ve allowed me to shoot them at those moments :-).
Not really Xbox exlusives: But personally I really loved "The Saboteur" and "John Woo presents: Stranglehold"
The devs behind Magna Carta are currently working on Stellar Blade. Doubt they'll ever revisit this series.
Velvet Assassin, inversion, Front Mission Evolved and Bullet Witch all got PC ports. I have no idea who owns the Tenchu license/IP, but I do know that FromSoft was toying with the idea of a new Tenchu game, but that project ended up becoming Sekiro. One of the dev teams that worked on Tenchu's been making the Aragami games recently.
Couldn’t agree more.
fantastic games !!! long live all video games and systems! no more console wars!
i forgot completly velvet assasin, thank you for making remind me it, i love it when i was younger, amazing game
Thank you for making this video. I haven't played any of these games, but all of them look interesting. My Xbox 360 collection is small, but I have some great games for it and I hope to build that collection in the future. Your video has shown me some games that might end up in my collection.
Glad I could help!
I feel mixed about Inversion. The first 50 - 66% of the game is a lot of fun. However, it hits a brick wall and both the story and gameplay just kinda coasts until the end.
It's too bad that it never got a sequel, it could have very easily cleaned up most of the problems with the game.
Now Microsoft cries alot and boast about studios but no game releases, series x hasnt even been pushed by a studio hardware wise smh
I really liked Divinity2 the Dragon Knignt Saga bit its noghing like Skyrim bro
I wish Operation Darkness wasn't so pricey.
Omg im old... these games do not feel old or hidden...
I don't care for 3rd person games.
Spec ops the Line ??
Tenchu Z is so good...I just love the traditional Japanese music twanging as you scope out your surroundings...very chill
Couldn't agree more!
This is a good video. I'm using it as a guide as to which games I want when I get an XBox: Series X next year. I've been with Team Sony for years & I've had it with their shenanigans.
Glad I could help!
Sabeteur is amazing
Finally tenchu z gets some love! I remember getting all achievements multiple times back in the day
Such a shame it didn’t get any when it first released!
I actually don't quite like Magna Carta II lol! Rented it from Blockbuster once and didn't have any fun. I just thought it was cliche and combat was slow. Maybe I should try it again? Divinity II I've played some as well. I know it uses the same engine as Oblivion, which intrigues me. Another one I should probably try again.
Operation darkness is so good
I was literally going to write about Hydro Thunder Hurricane and literally right before I hit "Comment" it came on. Although not as creative as Tetris Plus or as robust as the original Tetris, I would say Tetris Evolution. There was a time I would say Beautiful Katamari but now a days people are seeing the beauty of that game series (the PS2 games are the real stars of that series)
Havent bought 360 games in a while but i have all the fallout games, eternal sonata, infinite undiscovery, lost odyssey and enchanted arms.
I lucked out finding some of these at pawn shops and self owned game stores. Sadly some of them have bumped up in price value.
I got Front Mission Evolved at Dollar General several years ago and it was pretty fun to play.
great video
I loved my 360. There were some great download only games too
thanks brother man, I'm gonna check a couple of these out
