Does the Greater Copenhagen fire department cover the whole Copenhagen area? Or does Beredskab ost cover some of it? Also if there is a Beredskab ost then is there a Beredskab nord, Beredskab sud or Beredskab vest or are they regional fire brigades where nord covers northern Jutland and then ost covers Sjaeland and so on?
Hi in Greater Copenhagen we have 4 different fire brigades. We have Hovedstadens Beredskab/greater Copenhagen fire department. And as you said Beredskab Øst. We have also beredskab 4k and Tårnby Brandvæsen that also are a part of greater Copenhagen area. We have no fire brigade called beredskab nord or beredskab vest or syd. Beredskab Øst are just called beredskab øst because they like it and because its in east demmark. Most of the fire brigades in Denmark are regional in that way that several municipalities has an agreement about to operate a joint fire brigade. Like Beredskab Øst covers 4 municipalities in the north part of greater Copenhagen.
@@REDNINGsStation Why did Tårnby Brandvæsen choose not to join Hovedstadens Beredskab? I saw on the website that you linked me a while back that Tårnby Brandsæven has only one fire station and it is on the same island as Dragor fire station and Christianhavn fire station, it seems to make Dragor a exclave from Hovedstaden Beredskab. Also that crane/tow trucks units seems to be at Tomsgarden now but it’s a new unit with the current Hovenstadens Beredskab designs but I don’t see any new version for the Mercedes Econic so I feel that the tech rescue vans have taken its job. @@anygamer4563 Tårnby municipality not choice to go with Hovedstadens Beredskab because Copenhagen municipality will decide to mutch and Tårnby should pay more to be in the joint fire brigade. The crane truck has not been in the fire brigade in several years now. The econic rescue truck was replaced by pumps that also has special equipments with heavy rescue.
