Pull the paint with the grain on the boards whenever you're painting. If you pull the brush back and forth it rubs up the grain and makes a micro shag carpet of little tiny bits of rough wood on the surface of your board that will gather dust and dull the shine. Always brush on the paint with the grain. Just a hint to help with future projects. (Unless you're using a nappy paint roller. Then you can go back and forth, no worries.)
That turned out BEAUTIFUL. The wood was perfect and full of character and uniqueness. Great project❣ you couldn't have bought anything to look better for that spot. LOVE IT

I made a "wooden bowl for peanuts" not just any bowl though, it was made in the shape of a leaf 🍂, it was for my mum & she loved it, even though I seemed to have inherited it back 🤔... yep, true fact..!... 🤣🤣🤣💜

A little trick about the brushes...let them sit in water previous day of using...that will swell the wood holding the "hair" and therefore tightening them...it helps prevent them from falling.
